This. People lose their shit if you call it female circumcision instead of FGM. They’re both horrible acts against humanity. What really sucks to is a big argument for cutting boys is because “it looks better”. Like what the fuck? Imagine if you said that as a reason for FGM. Who cares if it causes everyone you sleep with to get an infection. Who cares if it stinks and is unlean. Who cares about your religion. I heard somewhere that circumcision helps stop some forms of cancer and reduce buildup around the glands, I think it should be left up in the air until around age 18 when the male in question should be able to make delicious fir themselves

I suffered from Phimosis and had to get circumsized in grade 8. My brother also was circumsized for the same reason in adulthood.

I don't believe there are any medical reasons for female circumcisions.

Honestly I've never thought about it as something to be classified as mutilation. I know that when my son was an infant, the doctors told us that he had extra skin that would have made it painful for him every time he got an erection. By doing a circumcision it would allow for the erection to happen without an issue. I think in part because it is considered commonplace and so many people have had it done, that many don't know how to clean properly. This brings up a discussion that I had with a friend years ago that was not circumcised. He was describing the extra steps necessary to clean properly. I think so many people consider it commonplace that it doesn't come across as something is mutilation. It does make me wonder though. So thank you for bringing it up.

My dad had to circumcise at 30 for health reasons I was lucky to already have been circumcised as a baby to not have to endure health problems later on. It's more hygienic, doesn't collect bacteria and is much less prone to so many possible issues, I have no idea what you people are on about, that piece of skin is literally useless. The part about sensitivity difference is interesting...

In most sects of Islam and Judaism, male genital mutilation is obligation. I am perplexed by amount of people who thinks MGM is a cultural rather than religious issues, but when you look at the fundamental scriptures it is clear that MGM is compulsory, disgusting 🤮. And some people even call you racist by stating that fact, but religions and race are very different things, you can be a (black/white/asian) (muslim/jew).
