There is a deep lack of humility in women. I've been studying this particular refusal to admit regret for a long time. The one that really strikes me is Eartha Kitt. I’ve witnessed this in female friends and family members over the years. They are dead certain on something, you tell them they’re wrong and they snap so you leave them to it. Years later, they have a false recollection of events and ask why no one tried to step in and say anything or suggest alternatives.

A career is not an alternative for a family. I swear, if I could have kids I would have them in a heartbeat.

I think lots of them gonna regret not having kids. Most women or men do not have a career they really enjoy. Nor can a career substitute social aspects of your life. It can suck up your time, leaving with less time to regret it. But as you age, there comes a point when career dies and you are left with what? Money and no one who really care about you?

Let's ignore the whining about the use of the "childless cat lady" trope. We all know that both sides are perfectly comfortable with their tropes for each other and are also perfectly comfortable attempting to crybully about it.

The real issue here is the funding of IVF with taxpayer dollars and the fact that JD Vance voted against it.

I have said here on this sub before that ultimately, as marriage and birth rates drop, the State will begin to simply extract wealth and resources from males, by virtue of taxation or whatever other means were necessary in order to fund fatherless children. I get that this sounds like wild hyperbole, but just humor me and take a look at this issue with a big picture mentality.

Men pay the majority of taxes in the US and in the West in general - this is because men in general do most of the earning in married households - and this is not because they get paid more than a woman for doing the same job, it is because men work for more years, more hours, and tend to choose higher paying jobs, and tend to work outside the home at a far greater rate than women who have the option to be stay-at-home parents, or choose to step out of the workforce for longer periods of time to do the child rearing.

On top of that, neither child support nor alimony payments are tax deductible for the person paying them (men pay 84% of all child support and 97% of alimony). BOTH child support and alimony income are tax deductible for the recipient.

Ultimately, taxpayer funded IVF would mean that once again, men are providing the lion's share of the resources (taxes) to fund necessary population growth, without even getting the benefit of being a father to the children that they are paying for. This could be the actual death knell of the nuclear family.

Now, what happens with all of those taxpayer funded IVF babies that the women are raising as single moms and the need for financial support as the children grow? Do you think there will be a big push for even more taxpayer funded support? If so, men will have that wealth forcibly extracted from their earnings, at a greater rate than women.

Overall, it's time we looked holistically at our society to try to understand the reasons for the decline of marriage rates, which is leading to the decline of birth rates, which WILL lead to huge disasters, and not only for men, but for all of civilization.

Bitter childless cat ladies and single moms are absolutely going to destroy Western society as they are inherently a representation of the destruction of the family unit. This has been in the making for a decade already and only to get worse. Modern dating culture is already a foreshadow of what's to come. It's only recently that the knowledge of this has come to public light due to the internet and social media platforms. Traditional media has always treated these topics as taboos and swept under the rug despite what we've always known instinctively.

Throughout history, all families have primarily been a man + woman, and a kid. Now 1/4 of families are single parent households, raising a future generation of broken adults. And of course, those who have been responsible and earning good incomes from their jobs/businesses, will be taxed to subsidize these single mothers and the social services required by their broken families.

aniston is lashing out after she is complaining that dating is hell, from a person who has multiple divorces and unrealistic standards.

as to the issue of guaranteed IVF, i predicted this idea years ago, that women would demand free ivf because they can't find a" good man". Who is going to pay for that because it aint cheap, never mind the welfare cost that will come from this and the raising of the child. To that end I think we will see some attempt of a form of singledom tax that only applies to men( eg like selective service).

then the article laments that Kamala Harris is a stepmother to her husband kids. I would have thought the take from that should be that he has access to his kids given that 22 million children in the USA are alienated from one parent( usually the father), that the african american( that harris is painted as part of) community has a fatherless household rate of 75%( something that NAACP states is their number one concern)

many of these women have decided to not have kids because you know climate change, rather than admit they can't find a man because a) you told them to go away, b) your unrealistic expectations because you think you are a 10 and that a man who is a 10 is going to wife you up..

this is going to get worse, you are going to see more silly and blatant "misinformation article from the very people who sought to blame every one but themselves. the BBC will not practice critical thinking in why men are dropping out of society and that even in the UK with the possibility of war, majority of men have said no thanks, I'm not fighting for a country that demonizes men....

I see someone has provided a link to the BBC article about experts thinking that single women should get free ivf, i can see that receiving a legal challenge unless the free IVF is offered to men( eg surrogacy).

Society is kind of screwed up when they focus their priority on giving free ivf to these people for children, when the same society can't protect children from abuse eg the vindictive parent who erases the other parent and the family courts who don't have the spine to enforce the children rights despite the mantra of "best interests of the child". These feminists truly believe that children are property...
