Who told you that hooking up with random women is fun. Guys that can hook up with multiple women and desire it will enjoy it. If you don't desire it then don't do it.

That being said most guys can't even get a date. There's a small amount of guys and can succeed in getting consistent hook ups.

You need to post in a feminist subreddit. It's a minority of men that sleep around and a majority of women.

Inconvenients of this culture promoting casual sex so much:

-Accidental pregnancies
-Related to above: more kids being raised by a single mom. It's also the worst of both worlds because those didn't even become so from choice, so they are often unprepared to deal with the challenges related to single motherhood
-Increased risk of sexually transmitted infections
-Lack of emotional connection and intimacy, leading to potential feelings of emptiness and loneliness
-Increased pressure to conform to societal expectations and engage in casual sex, leading to feelings of insecurity or low self-esteem for those who may not be interested or comfortable with this lifestyle -Emotional consequences such as guilt, regret, and anxiety associated with engaging in casual sex without establishing a strong emotional bond with the partner
--Increased chances of experiencing sexual coercion or assault, as the emphasis on casual sex may create an environment where boundaries are not always respected or communicated effectively.

And I could go on. Fact is, our older traditional religious beliefs may have been going a bit overboard, I completely get that. I understand people who think that having friends of the opposite gender or having casual hugs with people of the opposite gender should not be taboo. But going completely hands off like we are doing and spreading myths about unsafe sex (like the myth about how sex with a condom or on the pill is "safe") is not the way to go.

I think most of it comes from guys who are insecure or have nothing else to brag about. Younger men have some anxiety around it and can buy into this idea that it will make you happy or respected.

I have never been interested in just upping numbers and I don't care how many or how few women some guy has slept with, it just doesn't have anything to do with me.

Sex is nowhere near as interesting as 19 year old frat boys pretend. Not much different than "sex positive" women. 99% of them would be happier if they pursued an actual relationship.

Hookup culture to me was just the beginning of hypergamy and further alienated, ostracized, and angered men who are “different” or who struggle socially. Everyone knows men have a higher libido and all that rejection just led to more anger and sexual tension.

And then there’s the MeToo and Title IX stuff if you make a mistake, and men of color and men with disabilities are more likely to be caught up in this shit when they had good intentions (as what happened with me, despite my case not really being about sexual misconduct)

Personally I had few Big Great Romances in my life, they all just happened by themselves and between them, long periods of being alone, not even looking for anyone.

Honestly, I'm happy with that. But I suppose I could have been less lucky. It's probably worth it to try and meet someone from time to time.

Years ago I wouldn't have believed women like hookup culture, based on their self-descriptions: We are base savages who crave unga bunga like the cavemen we are, while they are spiritual creatures you see, who find true romantic love to be most fulfilling, and casual hookups faintly disgusting.

In reality straight women love left swiping on Tinder because it makes them feel powerful. They also like hooking up with chads out of their league with zero effort once in a while, just as every 18 year old young man would love being able to walk into the most expensive brothel in the world where they all look like supermodels, but it's all free and you might get free drinks and flattery because the supermodels are so horny for you LOL

A young woman's life is completely different from a young man's, which is why they love calling us "incels" so much. It's like a rich person who inherited billions gloating about their money in front of ordinary people who work long hours for peanuts.

It all changes when they get older though. 40+ or 50+ women can't stop bitching and trash talking men. They still have all their other gender privileges, but letting go of being popular just for being young is hard for them

Painting hookups as being taboo is such a non-issue. The real issues are the way society hands out unjust choices and consequences for the same actions, such as an accidental pregnancy.

If hookups are for you, cool, have them. If they aren't, also good, go find your long term partner and chill with them.
