The thing is, men are mostly stronger then women, but domestic violence is not something that usually happens, it's the exception and not the rule, therefore using the argument that men are generally stronger then women to say women cannot ever be responsible for something that is rare on either side is the problem.

I don't understand this. I don't think it's possible for both parties to initiate violence. One has to. This probably means the police couldn't figure it out and punished both.

Another factor to this that I can't help but wonder about. How many women have accepted a relationship with a man because of his aggressive behavior? How many women have desired or sought after men because they were bigger, stronger, more assertive, more anger driven, more imposing and/or more violent towards others? How many women have rejected or ignored relationships with men because they are smaller, weaker, harmless or nonthreatening? How many men, in comparison, would actually pursue women because of their tendency for violence or aggression? I would think that there would be a pretty significant disparity between men and women, and that women would also be far more likely to seek out or encourage relationships with violent men, for displaying "alpha male qualities", than there are men who would seek relationships with violent women.
