I'll start. My brother had been slowly becoming more and more angry about feminism. When he first stated that he did not think that women had it all that bad in today's society (the most moderate of opinions, I know), I remember thinking "oh shit. My brother is a misogynist" (which really scares me now, upon reflection). But the more he talked, the more I became convinced of his position. However, as I am sure other's can relate, there wasn't that trigger that set off the passion that I currently have for the movement. That trigger was pulled when I randomly decided to watch Warren Farrel's The Myth of Male Power. Only then did I realize how deep the issue went; that everything I had been taught about male dominance and privilege throughout history was wrong. Suddenly, I felt a massive weight lift off my shoulders, as the burden of being a member of the sex that had supposedly been massive dicks towards women for the entirety of history dissipated. In an instant, my perspective completely changed, and at 16 years of age I finally realized I did not have to feel guilty for being a man. And that is how I became an MRA. It's not the most dramatic of stories, no rape accusation or anything, but it was exceedingly powerful. I would love to hear yours.
