Where is the middle ground?

What I'm curious about is where is the middle ground? Who are the people in the center of the divide that are actually fighting for real equality?

Warren Farrell. Seriously, I have so much respect for the guy. His speech Transforming the Boys Crisis was really well done. He's extremely compassionate, and understanding. He was a feminist in the 70's (80's maybe?), but when he saw the negative direction that movement was going he sort of branched off. One thing that I remember him saying was something along the lines: Overall, what we need is a gender transition movement, but that doesn't mean I ignore the need for the temporary need men's rights movement

Erin Pizzey also seems to be in the middle ground as well, although I am just learning about her. Her war seems to be against domestic violence. She opened up the first women's shelter in London, and she noticed that women also commit domestic violence, and that men should not be demonized. Domestic violence is a human issue, and not solely a gendered issue. But the feminists didn't like her for these views to they killed her dog.

Once feminism and divisive nonsense like patriarchy theory and rape culture is pushed to the side there will be more middle ground. At the moment there is a push to create that space.

Personally I feel that way as well, but the only reason the MRM exists is solely because feminism, the bigger entity, neglects the plights men face as well. If feminism or a new, larger entity fought for both sides, the MRM wouldn't exist in the first place (assuming men had an equal or good enough fight as well).

Equality under the law. Equal sentencing for crimes, equal healthcare spending, equal custody in divorce, equality in education, etc.

Why is this even in question? MRA's advocate for all these.

The closest I have personally come to having a guideline for dealing with rights issues with respect to both genders is to have as my starting point the question: "Is what is happening to this person or group something that should be happening a person, a human. If it is, then there is a place for discussion about customs and roles. If it is not, then it should be ruled out and changes made to keep it from happening, as much as possible.

Many feminists do not hate men and genuinely desire equality, but the feminist movement aggressively resists equality and genuinely hates men. That being said, even if Feminism went away tomorrow we'd still have to deal with a lot of negative issues in society.

I think the "middle ground" is less about finding a label and more about really doing some research and critical thinking on the issues, and finding it in your heart to speak up. I don't consider myself an MRA. I have a particular interest in issues affecting men and boys because they are so deeply ignored and it's getting worse. Though I am a man, I don't do it out of self-interest. My self-interest would be to keep my mouth shut, focus on my selfish desires, and claim my turf on top of male corpses.

Gender-less laws and anything that's gender-less really, like scholarships, etc. Not to mention equal opportunity over equal outcome. But you're never going to see any middle ground while women/feminists claim that there's a war on women in the US.

MRAs support women's rights (not women's privileges) so we ARE the middleground. Feminists don't support men's rights so there is no possibility of reconciliation.

Just wanted to post my reasoning for not posing this same question in a feminist subreddit.

I've been banned without reason from two subreddits already. Me posting this would most definitely result in another, which makes the effort I'd put into creating a post pointless.

I wish lines of communication were more open across the board but it's pretty apparent that they aren't. If any of you are willing to test this out, go for it. I'm not going to bother.

Feminism is not a solution to men's problems. Instead, Feminism has caused many of the problems that the MRM is fighting against.

The MRM is fighting for equality for men, and we are not trying to take away any women's rights.

The middle ground is only possible with the complete removal of Judaism and Islam from society, the biggest offenders of gender equality from a cultural point of view.
