They don't even have to be really good looking, honestly. Someone who is a 6 or 7 can do very well like this.

What is this? Why does it work? What sort of women do you feel it works on?

As you said, women who are more intelligent and looking for a man who isn't a walking caricature of a frat boy player. I've been hit on by stereotypical Chads..."bad boys" who brag about their run ins with the law, who have baby-mommas in each surrounding state, who are covered in tattoos and drive obnoxiously loud bikes/cars, have a finely sculpted body but nothing between their ears other than beer brands and how to piston their hips during sex...and my only emotions are a sense of revulsion and danger. This never a mate choice, imo.

This type of man is confident, yes, but he's also arrogant, selfish, unempathetic, narcissistic, and wouldn't make a good friend, much less a passable SO. Now, someone who is as intelligent as me, who enjoys the same hobbies, has a healthy lifestyle without being a gym rat, Ken doll, or calorie counter, is mildly attractive, has/is looking for a job, and is both kind towards others and confident in whatever abilities they have? A man who is my equal rather than a drain on society? Sign me up.

That stereotype about women liking emotional guys is often true, as you say usually with the more intelligent ones, just as long as you get the balance right and don't just come off as a pussy. It's a tough balancing act but it pays off if you get it right for sure.

As for why I dunno. There's been plenty of discussion here recently about how women's attraction takes personality into account way more than men's. If you project a personality that makes her feel comfortable like she can be herself around you she will like you a lot.

This has always been my angle and it has a very high success rate. That and the good old bit of banter to make her laugh, always important to have a sense of humour.

That said... given my history of attracting completely crazy girls it might not be ideal to recommend to others. I imagine there is a correlation between anyone who gets emotional quickly (including myself there too not just the girl) and craziness.

I'm certainly totally put off by the RP representations of Chad Thundercock because, honestly (and arrogantly) I think I'm too smart and 'special snowflake' for that. I need someone I can discuss the big questions with, someone who loves art and music and is preferably as deep thinking (or more so) than I am. Someone who spends a lot of their time perfecting their bodies and 'game' to get women is unlikely to fit in with me. It's not impossible a 'Chad' could have all that and still look like and Adonis, but they're rare. Just like 'Stacy' or whatever is unlikely to look like a Victoria's Secret model but also be the perfect RP wife/mother.

I'd much rather have a 'nerdy' guy with a beer belly who doesn't know how to dress properly but is funny, smart, creative, strong in himself and kind than the Adonis guy with a basic hyper masculine mind and interests. Some women are fine with a man they can just get financial support from, have kids with and be shown off by at parties (or show him off), but the more interesting and intelligent women would rather have a partner in life, I suspect.

Right off the bat, this first sentence is incorrect. If there's one idea that 100% of red pillers agree on, it's the idea that looking better = more success with women. Almost no one on TRP is going to tell you that a "really good looking" man is going to struggle in the situation you describe. TRP doesn't focus on that type of guy, though, because most people who have "extreme artistic or academic interests" don't fall into the "really good looking" category.

TRP regularly discusses the idea of "local alphas," or guys who don't appeal as much to mainstream women but quite strongly appeal to their own niche area. Your understanding of TRP is (unsurprisingly) a massive oversimplification.

I think Chad is ESTP not ESFP. ESFP would probably feign vulnerability to get an in. ESTP is like skydiving Chad.

The ESFP Chad is a more childlike Chad and appeals in different ways. He comes down to you and shows shows some vulnerability, which allows the woman to open up and connect with him emotionally, and they keep doing and doing this till her panties come off, and mix each other's juices like slop slop slop.
