Attraction is predictable. Its symmetry and colouring preferences. There are studies where attractiveness that prove attractiveness can be predicted.

When isn’t predictable is love. Just because someone is more attractive doesn’t mean you’ll fall in love with them and leave your current partner.

Predictable 100% of the time? Of course not. Not much in life is. But quite a lot can be predicted with a 95% confidence. Even if the probabilities are lower, as long as its higher than random chance its worth following the predictions. After all, its your sex life at stake.

I don't agree with this one. It's pretty predictable and I don't know what you mean by controllable. You didn't seem to address it in your paragraphs. Controlling who you're attracted to is easy because it's just your mindset. Controlling who's attracted to you isn't really possible but you can influence it.

Attraction makes a lot of logical sense once you understand what women actually select for (looks, status, game as TRP describes it). This makes it quite predictable. Feelings aren't magic, they follow a logic.

By attraction you mean sexual attraction? For me "attractive" means nice to look at or experience and not "I wana mate with them". "I wanna mate with them" is meant by "sexually attractive"

Men and women can largely disagree amongst their peers who they find attractive and for what reason

It doesn't mean there are no correlations for some basic traits. There is much variance about eye color, for example, but height or weight preference is much more uniform. People like different toppings on the pizza, but only minority of them don't like pizza at all.

You're conflating things.

If you define "attraction" in the widest sense like "anything to like about a person", then the entire rant is pretty much irrelevant, it's obvious physical attractiveness can't be the only reason to like a person in some way, nobody denies it.

But if you mean "romantic and sexual attraction", of course physical attractiveness is the main factor here. Variance among individuals doesn't change it.

And if someone settles for someone for whatever reason, it's not sufficient to assume that their find their partner sexually aroused. For example, if a woman is looking for a family and finds a pleasant man who would make a good husband, she might choose to be with him, but it can have nothing to do with whether she's that sexually attracted to him.

And to continue with analogy, if you don't like olives, it doesn't matter how tasty the sauce is. You can eat pizza with olives and tasty sauce, because it's rude to decline it, or it's healthier than pizza with bacon, but honestly you rather prefer bacon and no olives. The same goes with physical disadvantages: you're not going to be sexually attracted to them, even if everything else about the person is good.

No, it's not logical, it's subconscious (in general). And that's what makes it dangerous. It takes either genuine love gor your SO, or strong self-control to resist the urges to go for an appealing sexual prospect. And physical attractiveness is the main factor in viewing someone as an appealing sexual prospect.

You don't seem to understand how statistical trends work. It's not like classical physics. It's about likelihood. Of course, you can do everything right and fail, or conversely, magically find love out of nowhere. Just like you can win a lottery. Or get a breast cancer as a man. Becase unlikely events sometimes happen, it doesn't mean you should expect them, or not expect something much more likely.
