My best friend was in a bad marriage and her husband would beg for sex, keeping her up all night until she gave in at 4 am to shut him up. She had to get some sleep before work, after all. She hated it. They are now divorced.

It doesn't work as "she gets turned on", it can work on some in a "she can tolerate his penis for a few minutes to shut him up" way. Of course, it diminishes one's chances to have enjoyable and wanted sex and it's the road to dead bedroom and breaking up.

I had a boyfriend in high school who did this to me. He’d beg, threaten to cheat on me (he did it anyway), block me from leaving, yell, threaten to expose me, or come to my home and cause a scene. Most of the time I gave in cause I was scared and didn’t know what to do. It’d just make me feel disgusting. He’d done it to other girls too, it was just his common tactic.

So like yes, it works but it’s just going to make a woman hate herself and you. So do it if you’re comfortable with people thinking you’re a sex pest POS. Men who beg for sex until they get it clearly don’t care about whoever they are trying to have sex with. Their main objective is to get off. I really think they’re better off having sex with a sex worker rather than trying to get pity sex out of someone who didn’t even want to have sex with you.

One thing you’re not considering:

Men are significantly stronger than women. Men can kill women easily. Men kill women more than women commit violent crime.

If a man is getting agitated and is using his stature to try to convince a woman to sleep with him the underlying threat is that he will attack her. He does not need to attack her and that is why it is coercion.

Women do not want to be murdered or tortured so they are more willing to succumb to this pressure.

In terms of how often it happens, on college campuses it’s quite regular. Lots of my friends have been assaulted or nearly assaulted (both male and female). For men it’s the reverse, they are worried about women accusing them of something if they do not sleep with them. It also leads to equally disgusting outcomes for the poor men in that situation.

I had an ex who did this when I was 18. I would sometimes need a day to recover after having sex but he’d get whiny and tell me to just take a bunch of Tylenol and do it anyway. I did get the “ick” but I didn’t wanna hurt his feelings. Most of my female friends have had at least one situation like this and it usually happens within relationships but not always.

One of my friends is now married to a cockroach who kept pestering her, she complained about it frequently and I forget, but something happened and I told her we hate him because she only talks shit about him. He happens to be her friend's cousin, so that helped. Her own fault of course, but it does sometimes work out.

Yes, it works extremely well. Think about this, if you’re with a man alone and he keeps asking you to have sex, that is going to make you extremely uncomfortable and feel unsafe, to de-escalate the situation, it was just “easier” to have sex with said person.

Another reason why coercion works is guilt tripping, society has implemented the idea that woman need to please men to keep them happy, so when you have a guy begging, saying shit like he has blue balls, that he bought you dinner so he deserves it, etc, that’s just another pressure you’re experiencing.
