Its actually club rules because men will act stupid. Most club owners are men and men make the rules, men know other men.

There are barley any male strip clubs out there, its show they do at a venue once or twice a year.

Not to say no women wouldnt act stupid at a male strip show but in general the men are not in fear like a women would be.

Firstly as a guy whose actually stripped, women are way more judged for it than men are...unless it's like one of those magic mike/dreamboys type affairs. And yes it's because they're often way more inappropriate and "handsy".

Also strip clubs have largely changed their perception. It kinda is still seen as a thing for creepy old men but it's also increasingly becoming seen as a place to "turn up". I've heard plenty of women who say they would like to visit a female strip club themselves.

While I think what you discuss describes those dancing bear pornos more than real life I have known a few bouncers at regular clubs who have confirmed that women are much more aggressive and hands on at all male revues than men are at your average titty bar. So yes, I agree with your overall point even if I think the specific examples you provide as supporting evidence are a bit blown (pun intended) out of proportion.

Having said that there's a reason why this double standard is allowed to exist. Keep in mind this is an explanation not an excuse.

Men are physically stronger than women. Without a bouncer to keep the peace a 120 lb female stripper is in much greater danger from a 200 lb male patron than a 200 lb Chippendale's dancer is from a 120 lb female patron. At the end of the day nothing is going to happen at an all male revue that the male dancers don't want to happen. This isn't the case when roles are reversed.
