Whenever I see someone talk or post about how men can improve their dating life or even their social interaction with women by " having higher standards and setting a reasonable expectations that match modern women's " , I just shake my head because of how difficult it is to apply this advice ...

On paper , it's a very beneficial advice in comparison to the usual dating advices men get that are ultimately centered around women's interest ... BUT when men individually or as a group try to implement it in the dating life, it fails and cause a social backlash from other social group be it other men especially modern feminist men or women ...

An example would make think easier to understand ... if you used social media for the last decade you're probably familiar with women saying " if he wanted to he would " or " princess treatment " or " never settle "... etc . Then one day a girl posted a video where she was arguing about chores not being a " women's job " while paying and pampering is " men's job " and he said if she wanted to she would and the caption was :" Why it's so weird and disgusting when men say if she wanted she would ? " . And thousand of comments from women and some weird men claimed that no men deserve special treatment and it's not the 19th anymore with the top liked comment being " I rather eat glass than give a man any kind of of special treatment "...

Society especially women and pick me men make sure men are humbled and can't have any standards , everyone is aware that if a man post or talk about his type of female body he is " superficial" and only see women as objects while women can't shut up about the word height when talking about men...

And what make things worse for men are pick me/ performative men themselves that accept and even encourage this manipulative behavior under the moral virtue of morals ...

The snowball effect of these things just made dating for men like a 0 expectation transaction that always benefit females :

A man should know how to approach a woman and be respectful about it and also have no expectation of a nice response or rejection . Some females even go as much as posting it online for views and clouts while pick me boy try to justify the disrespect ...

A man should still be expected to pay for dates with no excuse but he is a sc*mbag if he expect sex or intimacy afterwards or if he even question the intention of his female date . And the same women who claim " lady like " behaviors are oppression always use chivalry as a justification to the extra burden men should go through in dating ...

A man should be completely in charge of the financial aspect of marriage from the diamond ring to the fancy wedding ceremony to the expensive honey moon but how dare he expect sex in the wedding night . " You shouldn't pressure her maybe she's not ready " " he doesn't love if he want sex in the wedding night " " if he loved you he would wait until you are ready " . Where was this empathy when that dude was saving money for all these things that don't benefit him at all and are all about the woman also how a woman is ready to marriage , fancy ceremony and expensive honeymoon but not sex ...

A man is expected to contribute in domestic chores even when is the sole financial provider in the house even when the wife has a job just cause " she will give birth to his children " as if they aren't hers or she is doing him some kind of favor ?!

My favorite case : A man is should be completely okay with dating a feminist men hating women and no one say a thing about it , it's like a default setting but if a man is slightly misogynistic it's deal breaker in a relationship... don't believe me , just ask your gf if she hates men and then use the same answer if she ask you do you hate women and you will get my point

Let's not forget the sexual part, a man is expected to do everything in bed and is solely blamed for the lack of sex ( he should get her in the mood or do more chores ) or the performance ( sex was boring ) but " he is gay " be default if he has any complaints about the woman sexually...

The weird part is there is men that are willingly justifying these disgusting social behaviors and try to paint them as " romantic " to deceive young men that now think toxicity from women is romance and love is a one way street where women never and shouldn't reciprocate...

Modern men hate men and until men find a solution to limit the influence of these pick me / performative men in the dating sphere , I don't think there is a way for men to have any kind of meaningful relationship with women.
