Whenever I'm going through some crisis, I tend to obsessively scroll through subs that are guaranteed to make me feel like shit. Don't get me wrong; I think this sub has better quality discussions than any "x"-pill sub ought to have. I just think that any aim to systematize interaction between blocks of people, particularly in a context within which such respective blocks have competing motives, is both a little dehumanizing and dispiriting to read through.

So I thought I'd make some of my own contributions on that note.

  • I was pretty much invisible to women until about the age of 22.

  • With the help of some dumb luck, I was able to earn a higher than average salary in an already high earning area. I was living in a suburban area in close proximity to an extremely prestigious university. Despite being somewhat short (5'7) and completely inexperienced I surprisingly did quite well with the undergrads.

  • I was blessed and fortunate enough to actually be admitted to a graduate program at that very university. However, I was more successful when I was working, despite my only prior academic affiliation being a state school of exceptionally little repute. It makes sense in retrospect. I guess if you're a girl and a college student and you're going to have a fling with someone, I could see why someone being able to afford to do fancy/cool things could be a plus. For some reason, I thought prestige would matter more even in the context of flings.

  • If you're somewhat short and you had to be either between stocky or small, stocky is almost always preferable.

  • Radically type-a and academically/professionally ambitious women seem to be the least discerning in the looks department of any general block of women I could draw.

  • STEM (well, TE - I doubt the other parts are nearly as disputed) interests can be cool to girls if you have unique/ambitious research interests.

  • Outside of earning some money, the two best things I did for my general SMV were 1) performing stand up comedy and 2) buying two-inch shoe lifts.

  • From what I've seen, somewhat shorter guys with high facial attractiveness will fare better with an average height conventionally pretty and image-conscious/feminine girl than any given more average girl of the same height.

  • I think, at least in urban/metropolitan areas, income + dress can really level the playing field for a lot of guys more than a lot of people PPD would admit.

  • While I agree with a lot of the points raised on this sub, I also feel that my lurking and now participating in this sub is somewhat creepy and deviant.

  • The incel type men that are subject to much attention would benefit from renouncing their deviant worldview in favor of a socially conventional one. I think this would be a more bitter pill for them to swallow than the "black pill" they throw around. In some ways all of the "manosphere" and associated subs offer a rational counter-narrative per heteronormative sexual politics than the current mainstream narrative. However, if incels wish to normalize, a big part of that would entail renouncing their entire ideology, including the (very obfuscated) smidgens of rational observation.
