I have no problem with men being the head of the home whatsoever but I do feel a lot have a warped view of what submission should be and what being the head of the household is. When I tell men to define what being the head and submission is a lot usually have this dictator straight out of north Korea vibe. I don't know how to shake it off because I am not a sheep and can never be one. Meaning I like to think for myself, I have never followed blindly and it might come off as being opinionated (which I think every human should have) but I back out when my brain does it's calculations and iterations and go with my gut not what someone tells.

I'm by no means disrespectful to people no matter what level they're in life. I give respect according to how I'm respected no matter if you're the king of England or Zimbabwe. From the discussions I've had with people at school, work and different areas of life, a lot of men (not all) want respect even when they're being disrespectful, they want submission without caring about your opinions or even you as a human being. Some how because they're born Male you are beneath them and should treat them as your Lord and king even when they're being horrible people.

From what I'm told I have to be subservient, and loyal no matter what, the taught of this makes my skin crawl and hate my entire being for the way things and my sex.

How does one reconcile this frame of mind to be a good partner for my future partner without feeling less of a human being and hating myself for that?
