This is fair enough, he also has legal rights to the child and could have halted an adoption even if she had attempted it. Good for him.

The ex girlfriend is stupid to not have expected to pay child support. Both parties sound like they must be young and dumb. At least the father is trying to better himself and provide a future for his kid.

Even though is the law is so stupid, she didn't want the kid, she was willing to give it to abortion. She made it easy for the father to have the kid and he hits her with child support...

The ex could of had an abortion but since she chose to have the baby she also chose to allow the father's rights to vest upon birth.

The link is a good example of how our legal system can actually work. Too bad more guys don't take advantage of it.

Well if I have to be a moraliser, then I would say that he is a shitty person. She gave him the child and then he betrays that "favour" by making her pay child support for something she didn't even want. She could have easily put the child for adoption to prevent this and I advice other women who end up in the same position to just be a "callous" person and do what is in their best interest, as someones word isn't a verbal contract afterall.
