What do you think will change about PPD, relationships in general after the pandemic and the quarantine?

Nothing societal is going to happen.

The men with socialization issues, depression, and anxiety weren't getting laid before and they won't be getting laid after.

Women who are accustomed to casual sex will jump right back into it and have a good time.

People are not enjoying the closed abortion clinics and the threat to their bodily choices. Expect the pro-choice side to pick up some moderates. Abortion is infinitely preferable to being a single mom.

Couples that do well during the pandemic will be stronger than before. Couples that are failing will be weaker than before. This is a huge test of any relationship. Expect alot of breakups, and alot of renewed commitment.

Overall nothing will happen and this will just be a blip on the radar. If you think otherwise you're delusional.

For men:

Casual sex hookups are going to be like shooting fish in a barrel for a few dudes (dance cards will be full), a few others who don’t usually get lucky will as a result of the full dance cards, and the simps will be trying harder than ever but nothing will have changed for either them or the bulk of invisible asexual worker drones that most men are to women.

For women:

Competition for the few men to whom they are sexually attracted will be fierce (Chad’s dance cards will fill up quickly), a few will try their first ménage, a few more will make a few guys who’re unaccustomed to “luck” “lucky,” and the rest will wait their turn with one of the top 30% until the hornyness backlog clears.

That’ll take about a month.

Then when the economic chickens from the global shut down start coming home to roost over the following 6 - 18 months prostitution will skyrocket, both the short term non-exclusive variety and the long term exclusive variety. All the “high-betas” in the 19 to 35 age group are going to get snapped up in a hurry by women who they wouldn’t have thought were “in their league.” Any man with a decent job is going to find himself swimming in attention though getting sex from that attention will be difficult.

Then, as the economy comes back online over the following years the excrement extravaganza will revert to its normal state.

It has changed my interactions with my lizards. I have always feared getting salmonella from them. Now I realize that humans give you the real nasties and are truly a filthy species. So I no longer worry about salmonella and spend more time holding my lizards.

As far as human relationships, we are a species that never learns so things will remain the same. Hope is good but also blinding.

There won’t be many long-term effects but I think this is the perfect opportunity for dudes who are weird, but not THAT weird, to finally find themselves on a level playing field with everyone else. Social skills are like a muscle for most people, and by the time this is all over everyone will be a little stunted and uncool for at least a month or two. Everyone will also be horny as fuck when they finally leave their apartments, and probably sad as fuck if they experienced any losses, so no one is going to be too picky. I don’t think most young people are fucking rn unless they’re in relationships (I have a corona-FWB I see once a week but that doesn’t seem to be the norm).

Nothing's gonna change. When this mess is over people will live just like they used to do before. Of course the economic crisis that's around the corner will effect our lives but it's not something unseen, crises evolve every decade.

Reports from China suggest increased divorce rates due to lockdowns, well there might be more singles when people are released. Doubt it'll have big impact, those who used to be married/in-relationship will find someone else and those who were single will remain like that.

There will be greater cohesion and less conflict between the sexes. People will feel better and be more attractive to potential mates. They will express appreciation for their newfound comfort and enjoyment in life but most will fail to contemplate a possible explanation as to why and how intimate relations have markedly improved.

The goodness will be taken for granted, exploited for selfish pursuit and before long, sexually liberal society will recapture the ugliness which causes inevitable suffering and anguish.
