Has anyone else ever met with an ex to “chat about what happened” to their relationship after the break up? I have, usually after a month or two after the breakup was finalized. In these meetings the bitterness and anguish have typically faded, and we had extremely productive conversations that illuminate just how and why exactly it didn’t work out. These conversations are typically very open with a bunch of healing and gently honesty (as opposed to the brutal honesty aiming to hurt during arguments during an ongoing breakup), there are typically laughs about the good memories, and often an agreement in just why we were not compatible. The HONESTY in these conversations was absent when still together. Why are post-break up conversations so much more real?
