Perjury with intent to procure conviction or acquittal
Any person who commits perjury intending to procure the conviction or acquittal of any person of any serious indictable offence is liable to imprisonment for 14 years.

The judge could have imprisoned her for 14 years. But they didn't and this is appalling, on so many levels.

TL;DR of the article: it was a 5-year legal battle not 5 years spent in prison. He only spent 4 months in prison, but the impact was so high because he was a former prison guard and his constant expectation that someone would recognize him and murder him was haunting his entire family. The mother and father had already planned for a funeral arrangement they were so afraid of this. They re-mortgaged their home to help pay the $300,000 legal fees. The struggles led both the victim and his father to suicidal thoughts and it drove the parents apart over time.

She was sentenced to 3 years.

Edit: they didn’t sell their home, they remortgaged.

So this cunt cheats and then when the accused breaks it off she makes up a fake rape claim and puts him through years of hell. What an absolute piece of shit she is.
