Alright. Since so many people seem to be confused about wether or not this officer is in the wrong, I decided to do some detective work.

I opted against digging into the people on the video just for the sake of privacy, however that little pip in the top right corner says 5abc koco. One search later I now know that comes from abc channel five, Oklahoma city.

I asked the obvious question next. "can you be arrested for refusing to sign a ticket in Oklahoma?"

Anyway, here's OKCs website. https://www.okc.gov/government/social-justice/justice-and-the-law/interacting-with-police-officers

Some points to pay attention to.

If an officer issues you a citation, sign it. Your signature means you acknowledge your responsibility to pay or appear in court. Refusal to sign a citation could result in your arrest.

And

Don’t try to escape police in your car. Tyring to escape will result in your arrest and the impoundment of your vehicle. It’s dangerous and could cause injury or death.

And of course the last and most important part

PHYSICALLY ASSAULTING AN OFFICER IS A VIOLENT CRIME WETHER YOUR A "COUNTRY GIRL" OR A FUCKING CITY SLICKER

Instead of paying the 80 bucks, now that old woman has to

1 sit in jail at least a month for fleeing by vehicle

2 pay the impound fee to get her truck back because she fled by vehicle

3 spend at least a year in jail for kicking the officer

4 AND SHE STILL HAS TO PAY THE TICKET

Laws are different from state to state. In some states you MUST sign the ticket acknowledging that you received it - not admitting guilt. Refusing to sign gets you a one way ticket to the county jail.

Cop willing to use lethal force for a minor infraction. Could of written ticket and left it at that. Disgusting what the police have turned into, nothing but revenue collectors.

She hadn't committed a bad crime.
You can't be forced to sign anything. She misunderstood signing it meant she is pleading guilty.
TASERING a grandma? TWICE? Thats too far. I'd hate for them to do that to my mother. She actually seems like a sweet lady who is irritated and doesn't realise what her actions would bring.

This is horrible to watch. He should of just let her sign it.
