Preface this by saying that I am very new to rpw and it's concepts so please correct me where needed. I came across this sub looking for ways to improve myself in the hopes of also improving my marriage. I know I have a long way to go. A couple days ago I spilled a fountain drink and my husband got really angry. I cleaned it and apologized but made the mistake of disagreeing that I was being careless. Of course I was being careless or I wouldn't have spilled it. I'm working on owning my mistakes 100% and little things like this are my problem. I quickly get defensive instead of staying calm and submissive. He got angrier that he had to point it out and I changed my tune when he did but it was too late. He told me he was sick of my carelessness and excuses. I apologized again and agreed with him where I went wrong but I had started crying. He hates it when I cry in a fight because he feels like I'm being manipulative. So the fight only got worse from there, he got angrier, I cried even harder. I even snapped back at him at one point and said that I should start treating him terrible when he makes a mistake too. I know, that was horrible. I'm working on not being mouthy either. He threatened to leave after that and that put me in my place so I shut up and let him finish telling me off. Days later and I'm still upset about how that all went down. Instead of owning my mistake I made the whole night terrible and I can't keep doing that to my husband. How do you keep yourself calm and collected when your captain is angry at you? How do you maintain that feminine softness without falling apart?
