Sometimes I wonder how women with a “normal” age difference (within 5 years of same age is about average) feel about submitting and letting your guy lead vs women with a more significant age difference.

I am by nature very submissive, even docile maybe, so I have always been a better fit for a somewhat older man. My husband is 10 years older than me and in the one romantic relationship I had before him, the man was 13 years older.

There have been some drawbacks. Its just enough of an age difference that we don’t have the same context (I don’t get his references and vice versa), and often I get talked down to.

But there are some good things. Things like obedience and respect aren’t really a struggle to do at all, because it feels natural based on our ages alone.

When I occasionally wonder what it would have been like if we were about the same age, the idea feels a bit scary. I think it would be much harder to submit in all things to a person who is just as new and untested as me. Maybe it takes a woman with a much stronger constitution (more courage) to have a partner the same age and be submissive. But I don’t actually know.
