Hello all. What are your opinions on cutting off male acquaintances that you know fancy you but you don't fancy them? If you're in a relationship, cutting/curbing such men would seem like the obvious course of action to take but what about when you're single too?

I have a male acquaintance who likes me but it's not reciprocal. We only see each-other once every 3-4 months & contact each-other once a month or so. That is mostly my doing because I believe that by being in regular contact, whether face-to-face or via phone, that has the potential to lead him on. When we do see each-other, I do enjoy his company but ultimately - I'm not overly interested in having men around if there's no romantic future there. What do you think? Have you been in a similar situation? I'd also be interested in hearing some men's respectful & tactful perspectives on this.
