I view submission as trust. You trust your partner is intelligent and capable at making decisions, that whatever they are asking you to do is in the best interest for the BOTH of you (and sometimes just you), he understands and respects your limitations and on the off chance their decision has a negative impact they'll accept the responsibility to fix it. End of the day it takes burden off your shoulders not having to worry about whatever problem it is he is solving.

However not all men are capable of doing this or willing to. Submitting to the wrong man can go badly

Being feminine (to me) is fully embracing my feminine traits - being nurturing, caring, emotional at times (or in touch with my emotions?), being weaker than my husband so allowing him to protect me, and more superficially - being pampered (even when it’s just me doing the pampering).

Being submissive to my husband (and only my husband, not all men) means trusting him. We make decisions together, but I don’t argue with him over decisions he is making. There are some decisions I just say, “whatever you think”. There are some things I know he is far more knowledgeable in and has a stronger opinion. He will ask what I think when in reality he already knows what he wants so I now have the habit of saying, “I trust you - you see a lot of things I don’t see and you’ve always had the best intentions for us.”

For example - we need a new vehicle. He asked what type of vehicle we should look for. I said, maybe something small for you to drive back and forth to work?” He says, “yeah but the kids are getting bigger and they’ll be uncomfortable in a sedan.” I could argue the point or I can just say, “whatever you think”. It encourages intimacy (which I’d rather have than my own way) and shows I trust him and I don’t have to car shop which I dislike. In the past I would have insisted I be a part of the ordeal and been adamant about the price point and argue for what I want. I finally realized my husband is a really good man and why can’t I just trust him.

Now just extend that to nearly everything in our marriage. I make the decisions and am over the areas that are “mine” (typically with the kids and the house), but I run things past him on a regular basis. He handles “his” stuff - work, the major decisions in the house, etc.

The rub is that I trust him 100%. My husband is unselfish (almost to a fault) and he puts his family before himself. I know he isn’t going to run out a buy a car that only he can drive and blow through our savings on it. I can rest assured that he’s making good decisions on behalf of us. The funny thing is how much less stressful that is. He takes care of the big stuff and I get to take care of him at the end of the day.

To me femininity is embracing my natural female traits. For me, this comes down to how I dress and present myself and what tasks I’m “assigned” in my household. These things are typically opposite of what my husband is assigned and we help each other on an as needed basis.

To me submission means simply trusting my husband and recognizing that he’s capable of making some decisions and I don’t have to micromanage both of our lives.

Being femin shouldn‘t be all that confusing. Everything feminin is naturally attractive to 90% of men. That means color pink, flowers, smell of flowers, soft and high voices, etc. etc.

Now the things mentioned above I think ought to be clear. Submission is a different topic especially in the modern concept. I think RP women try to do what they think men what, and they‘re right most of the time. Men want women to follow their lead, and women tend to like dominant assertive men. But I believe there is a dynamic here, which I believe some women miss.

Men love women, and they behave like dogs often. Meaning they do what ever they think the woman wants. Now, that doesn’t mean they guess right what she wants, but they at least try to do, what they believe she wants. Especially if it’s their woman. He wants the illusion of being in charge, because if he likes/loves you, he will do whatever you want anyways. A sad face can change what “men decide” quickly. So the power dynamic is not really full submission, but rather chosing with a little care when to influence him. Meaning you let him take care of the day to day problems and decisions for the both of you, but you still can play the “sad about it” card whenever you feel it’s really necessary.

If you play the dominant role at forcefully choosing the restaurant, then it won’t appeal to men obviously if he had another place in mind, but you can say, “oh I really was hoping we’d go to restaurant X. I love it there” and quickly his decision for location will change.

Divine femininity is both masculine and feminine. You cannot have one without the other. They are yin and yang. I think of my feminine as my inward reflection and my masculine as my outward action. The way that I access my masculine energy is different to a way that a man accesses his masculine energy. A well-rounded individual knows how to access which energies at the appropriate times.

As for submission, my partner and I are a team, and we submit to each other. I do not believe in blind submission, man or woman. I do however believe in trusting in each other's strengths and knowing when to accept or forgo the leadership role. Submission is all about trust.

Reassuring to read the comments posted on this topic. Femininity isn't dead, even with so many trying to extinguish the flame.

Femininity is a choice, and unfortunately many women choose to reject it, dismissing it as weakness or 'patriarchal oppression'. They choose hardness over softness, competitiveness over cooperativeness, agitation over serenity.

The femininity we see today is often a soft-girl chameleon act used to finesse a beta bucks. Sex is the typical bait in a thirst trap, but the clever ones are using wholesome femininity as well, pretending they're still a good girl to get the ring.

I come from an older generation. My mother and 5 sisters were not feminine and not the type to wear makeup and skirts. This was a time where young girls weren't encouraged to be masculine and hyper-sexualized like they are today. Femininity was a luxury, a rare flower even back in those times.

When I first met my wife, I found her exceptional femininity mesmerizing and extremely attractive. It's her nature to be feminine. I didn't make her that way and she hasn't lost the magic in our 40+ years of marriage.

Femininity is not a power thing of dominance and submission, it's more of a surrender to a peaceful, loving way of being. She doesn't see it as a submission to me, which is what people assume. We have shared leadership in the relationship, not a master-slave power dynamic.

Here's a 2 Step lesson leadership:
1. Be the Force: Bring the vision, energy, drive to create positive change.
2. Don't Be the Force: Allow others to step up into the role and develop their leadership capacity.

The best leader isn't the one who knows the most or wields the biggest authority club. The best leader is the one who CARES the most about the people and the project, who will see things through no matter what. My wife is a reluctant leader at times, but she's good at it because she cares a lot.

Yes, her femininity makes her vulnerable to being used as a doormat, especially by her family. As in the story of Cinderella, I had to 'rescue' her from her family as they took full advantage of her giving nature and still try to.

Femininity is what pertains to women. It’s simple as that, and it’s infinite. Women do not have an inner masculine as is the popular belief, and anything and everything in your life can be done from your feminine. There is a feminine Yin and Yang, fem. Yin is what is typically seen as ‘traditional or stereotypical’ femininity and the fem. Yang is what most would consider their inner masc. which is business, money, leadership, strategy, etc. This philosophy is from Sri Namaste Moore, she’s on Facebook with countless lessons and posts if anyone is interested. I hope this was able to shine out a new perspective of this and lmk if you have any other questions, I’m very passionate about this topic😊
