I definitely agree a lot with what this sub has to say because with biting the bullet - the men that I've driven away in the past was due to a neglecting of common standards for RPW: maintaining appearance, being submissive, let him do the chasing, etc.

I can't help it though, I am smart and dominant in nature and that has a lot to do with my upbringing. I grew up in a conservative household, but circumstances dramatically changed when my dad died as an early teenager. I am the eldest daughter, and immediately assumed charge in controlling and making decisions. I basically became the "man"of the family and in retrospect, I am proud for assuming that position. Albeit, sometimes I only took charge because it was expected and not what I actually wanted myself. Yes, people have constantly acknowledged that I am indeed a smart woman and is central to my personality. However, I do NOT, for any second want to ever dumb down myself for an insecure man. Apparently, it seems that this sub encourages that? Or am I misinterpreting? I definitely believe in submission, and letting a man lead the way. That male dominance actually attracts me on a very primal level. I prefer for a man to be smarter and intellectually challenge me. But.. I'm very confused on how to approach subjects where I know he's incorrect or I want to disagree. So, how do I change this?
