I told all of you that this accusation was bogus the minute I heard the following facts:

she's a "performance artist" and
she's carrying a mattress around on her back.

This was so obviously a ploy to get attention for her "art." This is what feminists do nowadays, they claim to be "survivors" of rape so that any project that they're working on is instantly validated and justified as being a "courageous response to trauma" rather than a shitty, amateurish piece of garbage.

Real rape victims don't advertise their victimhood by developing "performance art" to draw attention to themselves. That's what talentless charlatans do. She's a snake oil salesman.

Did you guys see the post on 2xc yesterday about the universities treating girls like little kids (basically taking away all their party and drinking privileges and curfew etc) as a rape prevention thing after the rolling stone rape article etc.

It seems woman have dug a deep hole for themselves with the whole rape culture thing, so uni's and colleges have to put measures in place to protect themselves from it and the only solution is to make rules to keep woman indoors... It's hilarious.

So in other words, the defendant would have the burden of proving (not sure what standard, presumably preponderance of evidence) that he did not commit the crime (kind of like with the IRS) in a show trial where the rules of evidence bar the defendant from entering anything other than evidence from that night.

It could have had the potential to be cool if something had actually happened, or if her doing it didn't directly ruin someone else's life (and cheapen actual victims' experiences). As long as she sticks to her story or some new evidence doesn't come out she probably won't get sued. The real issue with these cases is that no one can prove it didn't happen. We can just see evidence that implies that the odds it occurred as described are low. We do have to remember that rape victims do tend to behave somewhat illogically.

I hope one day the universities at least reform their system.

Rape allegations are he said she said taken, unless there is evidence to support the allegation it should be ruled out as unconfirmed, at least.

Imagine if criminal trials required the same minimal amount of evidence, relying solely on emotional anecdotal testimony without including the other party.

The guys should sue for slander, if that's even possible. He isn't charged, but his name is trashed.
