I would say college kids on here need to take this advice even more seriously. Never again will you have it easy making friends and talking to people, this not to mention the high concentration of attractive women you are going to be around in this prime who aren't tied down. Talk to as many people as possible and be as social as you can, life is never going to be this easy so make the best of it because afterwards, making friends because 10 times harder and you will probably run into 1/10th of the attractive women you run into now.

I think this is good advice for people coming out of their shells and people who are lazy and make excuses for not going out. But I'd say if you just had a long week at work or you've got a lot of studying ahead, you're not doing yourself any favors by going out all the time. Sometimes you might just need a push, but other times you might genuinely be busy, tired, or just in a foul mood, and unlike the gym, where even a halfassed workout can still produce some gains, having a shitty night out is only going to take a hit on your confidence and could put you back socially.

I'm against spending entire weekends smoking a joint by yourself or playing videogames or watching TV, but every once in a while, doing that might genuinely be a cheaper and more relaxing pastime.

He made friends with some not so attractive girl the other day and I was thinking to myself "why waste you're time?" Well it just so happens this girl has a few very attractive friends that just showed up to our door asking us to hang out.

This is key. Too often on this sub I see the idea that if a woman is not A) attractive and B) a potential sexual partner then they have zero utility. I understand where this mentality comes from, but it implies throwing away a potentially great way to meet new women.

Here's the problem I have with being social. I'm an introvert and naturally I do not thrive in social settings. It takes a lot of energy and can be quite stressful for me. However, this isn't even my main problem. My main problem is most people are fucking boring. Sinfully fucking boring.

I have one problem, I'm a social guy and I do talk to everyone including unattractive females; the thing is girls that I'm not attracted to, start to display affection towards and hit on me, both playing along and showing her the cold shoulder means I'm not going to fuck her friends, what would be a good way to diffuse things with the unattractive friend so she stays in the friendzone? This girl kept on saying shit like "My friends are going to the cinemas this weekend with all their boyfriends, wanna keep me company ;)". She is hitting on me right?

Introversion/Extroversion isn't so cut and dry that one can thrive by taking up aspects of another. This is something that comes down to the genetic level. Now, I am an introvert but I do value applying extroversion here and there. I spend time with friends but also realize I have my own shortcomings. As an introvert, I would simply like to stay in and do my own thing, however, if I want friends, I know that i have to reach out and make plans and set things up. I have to make the effort, and as an introvert, it requires more effort than you may think, because we are working against our own nature. Its doable and there are many advantages to having friends and there is nothing wrong with being an introvert, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't expect pussy to be flowing if you stay at home and binge watch netflix. You have to reach out and open up that extroverted side of you, and its not easy but as you do it more and more, I believe it balances you out and doesn't seem as hard as you once made it.

If you're overly social it's easy to get dragged into mediocrity unless you mainly hang with high achievers (and even those are largely beta or intellectually poor). 99.9% of all women have no entertainment value to me beyond sex and 95%+ guys are average time wasters that are beta or intellectually boring.

If you're living somewhere, where you can build a solid social circle of people that provide value, by all means go for it, but in general most people realize sooner or later that it's lonely at the top.
