He's so calm, present and sharp!
In an interview before their fight Chad Mendes said something about Conor being a bad wrestler.
McGregor's instant response: "I'll rest my balls on your forehead!"
[–]Pereplyiotkin15 points16 points17 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
No. Chad asked "do you know what wrestling is Conor?" as in "do you know that im very good at wrestling and it is the main weakness for boxers and risk takers?" which is true. So he just dismissed it with a "yeah, i rest my balls on your forehead". Great example of how to deal with shit tests.

Conor preaches the Law of Attraction and is probably the best example of it ever.
You dont need energy crystals to realize that he is on to something.
Visualize, focus, ask, and believe. Do this and the universe will bring what it is you desire to your doorstep.
Conor has done this publicly in the last 4 years but I have had it happen in my life as well.
Write your goal down. Recite it every morning. Every morning in the shower visualize.
Dont recite "In four years I want an income of 10k a month and a black BMW." Instead, feel it. Feel what its like sitting in the car. In detail. What the leather seats feel like; how responsive the pedals are; how clear the sound system sounds. The feeling of walking in the bank in a tailored suit with all eyes on you.
Visualize it, feel it, in detail. Everyday. Literally everyday.
Do this, and you literally cant fail.
[–][deleted] 36 points37 points38 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
*you can fail
But you can learn from it and try again or pursue a new goal.
[–]Johnny_Monsanto15 points16 points17 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
This sounds like some new age shit
[–]Versacedave4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's actually old Napoleon Hill wrote about it in the early(ish) 1900s
[–]CQC312 points13 points14 points 9 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
I believe firmly in positive and negative visualization but...that Law of Attraction sounds like the horseshit the secret was selling.
Believe me buddy, when I was a beta I was using the law of attraction for my oneitis the whole time! Nothing came of it.
I get the essence of what you're saying though. Positive visualization along with effort and skill.
[–]Dio_Brando_Joestar7 points8 points9 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Spoken like a true realist.
[–]CQC31 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I wouldn't say I'm a realist, I'm pretty delusional and have always let how I want things to be get in the way of how they are.
In the case of this idea though, you could easily say it's mostly true (as in an effective tactic). But it's mostly that we have a lot of subconscious or barely conscious actions we take that are a product of thoughts we have. If we have self defeating thoughts then it is likely we will act out those things because of our expectations.
And so, when you visualize the goal properly, let yourself feel it and almost taste the whole experience, you have a shift in perspective.
If you want to be one of the best at something, you have to ask yourself then how do the best live? Do they blow off practice to hang with friends or girls? Do they half ass it and rationalize that they need a break? And so assuming that mentality you're able to grasp for what you must become in terms of habits instead of constantly fretting over the hole you are in or the problems you have stemming from how you currently are.
[–]Satou42 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
The point of the law of attraction is refined focus through daily visualization. There's not much* magic (though belief is actually the closest thing to magic I know) to it, it's mostly about keeping your mind pointing toward the goal.
[–]Swallowed_the_pill2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You visualized that you were going to get her,but the way you worked to make it happen was all wrong.
It would be like a fat kid visualized being a body builder and getting bigger from eating snacks but not working out.
[–]Marcus11381 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, it's less about "manifesting" it or whatever like the buzzwords suggest, and more about constantly keeping yourself on track. Hard to waste 2 hours masturbating when you have a note telling you to work on your actual goals.
[–]Satou41 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It's also about visualizing the correct actions you will take, not just visualizing what life will be like after the goal is already won. Actually it's MORE about visualizing correct actions, and rarely visualizing incorrect actions so you can replace those visualizations with correct actions. Then when you go to take action in your life, it will be easier to replace the incorrect actions with the correct actions that you know will take you closer to your goal.

[–]Slut_Slayer90000 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
when I was a beta I was using the law of attraction
Ok but were you living it? No, hence your result. You will not achieve any goal ever if your actions don't align with your goals. People don't realize this shit, you not only need to visualize your goal, but you need to make a plan on how to achieve that goal, and do those actions every single day that you laid out in your plan to achieve that goal. Simply visualizing it won't cut it. You got live it, every single fucking day.
I was not being serious.
The joke is that guys dream all day and visualize all day about getting that girl but it never happens. People are lost in their dreams but can't actualize them. Only those who can connect their wants with their method can achieve them.
Made a post further down about positive visualization.
The Law of Attraction is still New Age horseshit, and I'm saying that as a fairly spiritual person (non-religious). If you have a method to achieve your goal, THEN can you visualize it. Visualizing has more to do with staying on track and keeping a proper frame of mind, not getting lost in the day to day. I think people are thinking positive visualization and Law of Attraction are the same thing, but they're not.

Visualize, focus, ask, and believe.
Missing the most important piece. Taking real action right now.
[–]Wilreadit1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is the only important piece. Will work well without the other pieces.
[–]TheSlicemanCometh0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Taking real action right now.
This is all an afterthought after you do the first four.
At least for me.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
What do you mean an "afterthought?" It's literally the only thing that brings results. The only thing that is actually necessary. These other things can and do help a great deal, but are nothing without action.
[–]TheSlicemanCometh0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
What do you mean an "afterthought?"
It means its a given. Its already done. There is no question about it. No debate. That is what you do.
If your mind is already made up on the result, the steps to get there are trivial. All you have to do is go with the flow if the flow is your goals.
[–]Wilreadit-2 points-1 points0 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
So far what have you accomplished. What has that method gifted you.
[–]TheSlicemanCometh2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]fenghsui2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
No. I mean, I agree, but you're visualizing the wrong thing. McGregs visualizes landing the drop left hook on Jose, not the belt ceremony. Visualization gives you an advantage because your brain thinks it's real. It's not psychic powers. It's training. And you train the process, not the result.
[–]TheSlicemanCometh1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
McGregs visualizes landing the drop left hook on Jose, not the belt ceremony.
I think you may be wrong here.
When Conor joined the UFC he said he would be holding 2 belts.
He didnt say he was going to beat the WW champ at the time. He said he was going to hold the belt.
Accpeting the results makes training for it an afterthought. Of course you need to occupy every waking moment with training to win the belt because its a given that you do win it.
Its no longer a debate "do I go to the gym today or not.". The debate is over. You already know the result. Its already been written, you go.
[–]Wilreadit1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Well you seem like a person who believes in grumpkins and snarks. I do not think RP is the place for you.
Visualization is a technique to train the brain. It is training. It is not hocus pocus. If you cannot understand that you are going to be let down by your technique.
[–]Letters567 points points points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
as long as you are putting in the amount of work as well. you get out of it what you put in
[–]TheSlicemanCometh5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Nah. The nature of investing is getting out more than what you put in.
[–]RolandTheDickslinger1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Honestly, all this visualisation looks like wasted effort. Use that time to meditate or something else.
Also, you'll have to work even harder not to become extremely frustrated as time passes by and your wishes still seem so far away.
Having long-term goals guiding realist, short-term goals is a much better strategy.

[–]theONE843663[🍰] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It falls in "neuro". Neurological programming can exist under NLP without the linguistics part. Visualizing like that is positive framing. The linguistics come in when you use it on someone else or using self talk.

My personality was very similar to mcgregor, I had milestones, unstoppable willforce, did martial arts, multiple constant job offers, etc.
Then a girl I was dating and was the love of my life (yeah one-itis) started fucking another guy. It destroyed my life entirely. Really, can't find the will to eat, 3 months after this happened. I'm slowly getting better, it will take years.
Remember Connor is married to his high-school girlfriend that was with him when he was nobody, in fact she supported him while he was training. He was never alone.
Fuck a 10k income. Fuck a BMW. I can have all of that shit. Why I would want 10k income if I can't fucking feel the taste of anything anymore. Where I would go with that stupid fucking car?
It doesn't matter at all, it's just garbage.
Edit: its 2019 now. I dont even remember exactly which girl I was referring here. Anyway, she was a bitch. Im fucking a much better girl now. TRP works! regards.
[–]TheDialecticParadox29 points30 points31 points 9 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
What exactly is the point of your comment? What are you saying besides telling everyone you're a cynical, depressive beta?
She's just a girl. The fact you were so dependent on her for happiness tells me you couldn't have a BMW if you wanted it, because you're too busy putting others before yourself. You're the only fucking person on this planet that matters and if your gf fucks another dude, ghost her and start focusing on you.
If bitches come to you down the path, plate them and make them fight for your commitment. After a year and thorough vetting you could consider upgrading your most loyal and respectful plate to a gf to aid you in your mission and goals.
Women must ALWAYS come second to your passions and career. Never make a woman a priority, because she will resent you, lose attraction and respect for you, and hop onto the nearest Chad's dick.

However oneitis can happen to anyone, even the most red-piller pua. It doesn't happen to me all the time, but sometimes you just can't control it.
I saw a documentary about McGregor and he was all touchy-feely about his wife and how much he loves her and supported his career. Not very RP at all.
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
nah man, sometimes YOU cant control it. Learn to control it. Life is a lot easier when you stop getting attached to girls or anything. You can still give it your all but dont get attached. I remember a quote from the movie Heat that my dad used to tell me over and over again whose meaning I could not fully grasp till I was an adult
"Never commit to anything you cannot walk away from in 10 seconds"
[–]RedEyesBlueShades6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Heat is such a massive fucking awesome movie!
And Al Pacino does just that in it. Has a great time with a woman, things go really well. But when he suspects she might have been compromised, a thought he gets whilst driving to meet her, he turns away.

I have not had a ONEitis in about 15yrs. And even then, I realised I was having a ONEitis stint, and shook it off.

Actually I have a ltr and no plates. She is the best girlfriend I could ask for. She cooks, cleans, goes down on me constantly, does anything I want in the sack, and best of all started lifting and dieting to be more attractive for me.
She was originally a plate that I upgraded for the above reasons. Too many sad fucks out there commit to the first girl that shows any romantic interest in them and then mope and cry when she leaves them for a guy who has other priorities in life.

I wrote a post on TRP about Conor McGregor going monk mode 10 months ago after he lost his fight to Nate Diaz. People on this sub took the opportunity to shit on him. Look where he is now; the months he was away show how to do a successful Monk Mode.
I really hope he gets the opportunity to take on Mayweather; he deserves it.
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link
No he doesn't.
MMA fighters can't hang with real boxers. Not a fucking chance. It's a joke to both sports to allow Mcgregor to fight Mayweather.
[–]dmystery0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link
He deserves a bigger purse than the one MMA gives, the only way for him to get that currently is with a bigger fight.
I would argue that with hard work (and the right coaching) Conor could hold his own against Mayweather.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link
No he can't hold his own with mayweather. I've trained MMA and boxing, albeit boxing for 2-3 years more, and the level of standup in boxing far outshines MMA. If pacquiao can't beat floyd, who has devoted his life to pure boxing, then Conor definitely can't. The reason Conor looks like such a high level boxer in the UFC is because he's never fought a striker who is top tier such as bisping or silva. In the Diaz fight he got caught out a few times and Diaz is one of the few fighters who really train their boxing and not explicitly k1/Muay Thai.
[–]dmystery0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
You make a fair point; I look at the match simply from a business point of view.
Pacquiao made $120 mill from the 2015 fight (Mayweather made $180 mill). MMA fighters make magnitudes less.
Even if McGregor doen't hold his own, the cheque will be more than worth it.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
Yeah definitely, McGregor himself knows floyd will out-class him with ease, he wants a 150mil+ paycheque he'll bring out the 'boxing experience' excuse and then bounce.
[–]Wilreadit0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
This is exactly the reason why the bitch tried to bait Mayweather. He didn't respond.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
I'm not sure if the fight will happen personally, and if it does, as said before, it'll be a ridiculously one sided pure boxing match where mayweather wins on points or a 0.01% chance where mayweather gets caught out by Conor's left and drops. Both will get paid a fortune and then Conor will melt away and chill.
[–]Wilreadit0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Mayweather is a seasoned boxer, yes he is boring as fuck. But that is his technique at play. Conor will be really outmatched with Money.
And Money will never do MMA. Now that is RP.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Yeah money is RP in the sense he doesn't take people's shit - but he's a cocky piece of trash who beat his wife I know who I'm rooting for in that fight regardless of who is the better boxer. Shows after the maypac fight, money buys 10 or whatever diamond rolexes or some expensive watch whilst pacquiao goes to volunteer at orphanages in the Philippines.
[–]Marcus11380 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I'd have to agree, especially since Mayweather is so technical. Of course, if Mayweather did an MMA round with McGregor he'd get his ass kicked, but with 75% of McGregor's training being nulled by the rules of boxing there's no way he could beat Mayweather short of a very lucky KO.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly, mayweather has brittle hands so can't use MMA gloves and if Conor was allowed to knee/elbow and clinch mayweather would get fucked up too easily so the only way it can be done is with boxing gloves and full rules. Mayweather wouldn't accept it any other way regardless.
[–]damn_its_cold_bruh0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Hahahaha. Bisping is your example of a top tier striker?
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]damn_its_cold_bruh0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
He out boxed an unmotivated, tentative, and past his prime Silva. Let's be honest here
Noone deserves squat, just because you have a boner for him and wants him to give you the D in your A.
Mayweather has a very religious technique and that is: do not get punched. Beyond that he has no particular skill. But what he has he has honed to a perfect level
Remember what Bruce Lee said ' I am not intimidated by a man who knows 10, 000 kicks. I am scared of a man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I havent read the article yet but I will tomorrow but right off the bat, I agree with the headline but not the sentiment. An object at rest will stay at rest unless a force acts upon it. Getting disciplined out of no where is extremely difficult without some motivating factor. In fact, the only reason we do something is because we are motivated to do it and out motivation makes us disciplined to the point where there is nothing that will stop us from getting it.
According to this general notation that motivation is bullshit, people should be able to wake up one day and just get disciplined because they feel like it. No, that isnt how it works. First comes motivation then discipline.
And so what if motivation is for the weak? Everyone on this sub was once weak and came here for motivation. Motivation is fine in small doses because after a small dose, momentum builds and you build discipline.
(Ill read the article tomorrow and see if I change my mind)
[–]Marcus11380 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, totally. Motivation is necessary, it's what drives discipline. We think of motivation as that little burst of energy to do something for an hour, but motivation can be long-term too. Wanting to get a good job, a nice car, and build muscles that will get you laid is something that motivates you every day.

“I just like to see them in the flesh … just see what the big fat asses on them look like.”
As for whether he admired the reality stars, Conor admitted: “Admire? Never. What the saying? Never put the p**** on a pedestal, my friend. I just want to see it. I want to see them.”
When asked by TMZ about the comment, Conor explained: “That was a compliment, I meant that as a compliment.”
[–]newflame974 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
As far as MMA goes I personally don't like Conor. He has in many ways started to believe his own hype and has started living out the WWE persona (Ric Flair) that he originally set out to imitate. Other fighters who have known him from the start have pointed out how much he's changed in order to truly live up to the persona. It's fake.
That said, he's one of the best, and I respect the fuck out of his skill. If he can take out Khabib I'll be on the Conor hype train.
[–]THE_CARDINAL1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Of course its fake, he knows it and actively puts it on. Thats why he has become such a phenomena. That, and because he is actually very smart, hard working and extremely dedicated to his craft (he may be one of the greatest fighters to ever live, if he takes the 170 belt he will solidify that.)
He isn't the person he is on TV, he knows how to play a part and how to manipulate promotions to make himself larger than life and make $$$. But make no mistake, he didn't tear up the UFC in under 4 years and become the only person to win two belts because of an inflated ego. Behind the scenes he is calm and shrewd. We would all do well to mimic his tendencies to becoming a better man: hard working, loyal, successful, extremely self confident, a master of his craft and a stone cold killer. If that isn't what all of these RP teaching are about idk what is.

Never fuck with an Irishman. You'll get your head knocked in.
Why did men invent whiskey and porter?
To keep the Irish from taking over the world.
"Why do we drink Jameson, Johnny?"
"Because Bushmills is for cunts, Grandpa."
Yet they were ground to mince meat by the English everytime they squared off. Keep your nationalism outta here. No particular nation is Krypton. Especially if it is just known for stone drunk belligerent fucks.

Lots of my role models are athletes, MMA, NFL, ETC.
Theyre true alpha males IMO. These politicians maybe "alpha" but most of those guys were let in through their friends/inheritance/network. Pro athletes literally have to grind to be where theyre at and are physically in their prime and can whoop ass (alpha).
Theyre a rare blend of being the most physically attractive and high status - something politicians and actors dont have.
You can be a 5 star actor but Mr. NFL Pass Rusher 280 pounds specimen will give their wife tingles to the likes Mr. Famous Actor Dadbod cant give her.
[–]1by1is312 points13 points14 points 9 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
I doubt Mr. NFL Pass Rusher can compete in the tingle creation department with someone like Ryan Gosling or Daniel Craig. Alpha is not just about being big or heavy, it's also about having game and intelligence (or the image of having intelligence).
[–]xprimez2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's not really a fair comparison. He said lots of his role models are athletes, not every athlete. Think of guys like Rob Gronkowski not Ndamukong suh.
[–]rubenbrasil-1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link
Apples and oranges. They both have high status. Youre comparing 10/10 status + dadbod to 8/10 status + jacked. At a certain point the slight status difference isnt too much of a difference.
Youre assuming athletes have no game. Also bitches dont care about intelligence, cmon man. Athletes have more alpha body language than 150 pound brad pitt. At some point actors become hasbeens at 50 years old (as do athletes). Look at Johnny Depp.
Do you have a dadbod or something?
[–]1by1is30 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
They both have high status but have you asked why? An NFL player is probably more muscular than Ryan Gosling or Daniel Craig, he probably even earns more money. What he does not have is intelligence (or the appearance of intelligence even if he is intelligent), that is associated with some other professions. This is why ultimate female fantasy novels have a billionaire executive Christian Grey type character, or ever living handsome sexy skinny ripped vampire character in twilight, not NFL athletes or hunky werewolves. Muscle is important but so is bodyfat%, intelligence, game, money and simply good genetics. You can be as big as fuck but you won't give any woman any tingles if your eyes are lopsided and your nose crooked.
[–]redpill-account2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
You act like
A,) athletes are dumb jocks. This is very false stereotype. Not only do you need general social intelligence to be that high level athlete, most these guys have degrees and have high levels of street/practical intelligence .
2.) Athletes have literal the most swag. Think about the charisma and conscience levels of these people. Not to say other people don't have this, but it's different if you can combine it with elite level fitness.
End of the day apples and oranges and who knows , just 2 cents
Not all athletes get to the top of the food chain too. They are forgotten soon, when the new guy comes up.
[–]rubenbrasil-1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Lots of athletes actually have good looking faces too. Makes sense because they literally have .0001% genetics as far as muscle/speed go and those genes for the most part carry favorable facial genetics (high testosterone features like broad jaw/dominant browbone/etc). He makes it sound like theyre just "hunky werewolves" with "lobsided eyes" lol.
But yea.. its the body fat too. All athletes are in shape and being in shape is gonna put your face at its best advantage as far as jawline goes. (exception: NFL lineman and punters of fucking course)
Athletes get so much poon. Anyone that has ever gone to college or has real life experience will agree with that.
[–]1by1is3-1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
No where did I say that an athlete cannot be intelligent, I am merely talking about the IMAGE of intelligence. In my opinion, you do not need to have social intelligence or any other type of intelligence to be a top tier athlete, you simply need to have good genetics, a natural skill set and good work ethic. Whether we like it or not, there are some professions that do not require a high level of intelligence. Being a sporting athlete is one of them.
You are talking about swag from a male perspective, I am talking about what appeals to the female which is status, not swag, image, not performance. It's like bringing a heavily modified 1000 hp Honda Civic against a Mercedes C300. The Civic is going to blast the Merc in any performance test. But what will chics dig? The Merc. Why? The badge - that associated with class and status, when compared to the crass civic.
The female doesn't care whether you can squat 5 plates or bench 3 plates, she cares whether you look like you can. Female attraction does not look at your bank balance (even if she does, that's to use you as BB not AF), she is attracted if you can project that bank balance to her in a way that signifies you have high status.

Tom Brady. Michel Jordan. Christiano Ronaldo . Lebron James. Derek jeter
Obviously at that level everyone does wtf they want, but I'd take these guys SMV over a famous actor. Once again, it depends on the athlete
[–]1by1is30 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You are not a woman, ask a woman. Although I will give you Cristiano Ronaldo because he plays a sport that is followed around a globe and he is the best at it. His popularity is more due to fame, attitude and good looks, rather than being big or athletic. Most other sports have a limited reach, and even then mostly guys are following sports, not girls.
You can be as big as fuck but you won't give any woman any tingles if your eyes are lopsided and your nose crooked.
Amen to this, unless you have massive power or wealth.

You gotta play with the cards you are dealt with. At the end of the day, what mattes isnt your height, but what you think of your height
That is the shittiest statement.
What matters is not your height, but your knowledge of what others are going to think of it. And how you change their perception.
Nigga the fuck, don't call me out with a dumb as shit opinion like that. We aren't put on this earth to appeal to other people's opinions and try change them. We aren't bitches. Fuck outta here with trying to change people's perceptions and shit boy, do whatever makes you happy, not others.
So OP, screw this guy, you're 5'9" and people think you're short? Fuck em, every single day when you get that insecurity thought, just tell yourself you are tall and eventually you will believe and act it

This is great but honestly the video that really motivated me was this couple-of-minutes long piece showing Conor and his crew just silently practicing body movement in nice natural settings. There is something meditative about how they're doing it (it's called Ido Portal Method), almost like watching dancers and performing arts. Seeing someone control their body like that real sticks in mind and makes you kind of more physically aware about your own motorics, at least with me.
he may have been slightly past his prime but he was still an animal, he wasn't tentative did you watch the fight? the end of the 3rd goes to show he wasn't tentative - he stopped pushing bisping as much in the 4th and that was probably from shock bisping stood back up from that knee.
(Replied to wrong comment sorry)
He is a shit talker with a massive oneitis for his bitch. He is in love with his bitch, Ireland, and the fags he trains with. He is not red pill, but he is a good fighter.
Fuck Conor McGregor
So red pill means you don't have any sense of culture, hate your girl and all your friends?
You pretty dumb man. My interpretation of red pill is you can still love your girl, but don't get attached, be passionate about anything and be able to hold your own (passion about your heritage applies here) and be there for your boys.
You got this red pill thing all messed up. Sounds like you look up to the likes of Hitler/Stalin. Fix yoself
Conor is a fucking bigot who believes all Irish are superstars. Talk about delusions.
I like this post and i encourage people to watch it, but post is kinda Cringry. Plenty of people have manifested realities . Ever read a book? Listened to a good rap song? Watched a documentary?
Mcgregor is awesome, and I've actually recently been following him more, but be careful pedestaling famous people
Hmmm yes I've don't all of them but I think the appeal with McGregor is his ability to be so vocal about it all. No one is as vocal about success as he is (at least no one comes to my mind)

Consumers are losers.

I was an advertiser on Reddit for most of my years and interacted regularly with folks, plus I do mentorship programs and interacting with people has always let me find those worth working with.
Plus I'm not "on" Reddit all the time at all -- I only browse from my cell, and generally only pop on when I have a notification. Then I check /new and move on with my day.

Name calling them is not going to do them favors. I agree with you but I feel like you're just setting yourself up for a fight with people that are on the defensive. Your points about not consuming (television, video games, etc) are legit to me, but its hard to convince people that have a different lifestyle, in an unfortunate environment,, or won't try new stuff.
[–]abdada2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
I am not trying to convince losers not to be losers. Period.
I am writing for those on the edge who realize they are losers and keep trying to win but fail -- and when they read me, a light bulb goes off and they say "holy shit, this is my fault."
I posted this article today as a lead-in to why being a fan of "Conor Fucking McGregor" can be seriously destructive for one's masculine nature. I have no issue with rare consumption of an actor-clown, but being a fan to the point of OP is destructive of one's masculine nature. Period.
The scientific evidence shows that boys with hero worship have lower testosterone and worse sperm quality than men who go out and become heroes themselves. I have over 250 different scientific articles that show the effect on rampant and blatant sports/actor/musician hero worship on the male sex hormones.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
That's pretty interesting. I'm inclined to agree with you because I feel like my jiu jitsu class has opened a new dimension, but at this point calling people losers and bashing their livestyles just going to make this an emotional fight instead of a logical one.
[–]abdada1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
just going to make this an emotional fight instead of a logical one.
Ever notice how illogical and irrational political branding is? Or how illogical it is when people say "the Cubs are better than the Cardinals!" or "I prefer Levis to Lee because Lee sucks" and shit like that?
Team building among consumers is designed to polarize people. Make people feel like shit so they cling to your brand.
I am just another brand promoter, but my brand is designed specifically to help people who can see through the marketing spiel.
Fuck those weak minds who don't put rational thought to online debate. I like to separate the emotionally weak men from the confident and constitutionally strong ones.
Basically, I troll losers to keep them losers and to find the winners in the muck. There are very very few winners in the TRP world. Even fewer among the consumers of the brand.
Keep doing jiu jitsu and become the actor-clown yourself. I love being an actor-clown because people paid me to watch me live and win. Me calling Conor Fucking McGregor an actor-clown is me respecting his control over losers like OP.
I'm not trying to be an actor clown because I'm not showing off anything. I do it because I have trouble giving affection, and I feel like jiu jitsu have unexpectedly given me a way of human contact. This might sound lame, but every move I learn make me feel more confident with my body.
You're right on your points, but I rather be constructive than destructive. You can call people names to create some sort of scarcity then scoop in with a constructed answer. That's fine. I think doing jiu jitsu and analyzing it shouldn't be criticized, it's actually a good way to know someone and lessen some tv time.

Men bond over physical action and touch. We shake hands. We even slap asses as a show of good sportsmanship. Ever slap a man's ass after brawling because he outdid you? You should.
Any form of physical contact sport increases our bond with our fellow winners. It's a required part of my method. If a guy has intimacy issues, he's put up a huge fucking block to being a man. Kino isn't the only way to bond with others.

Literal best pound for pound fighter on earth..
If u csnt see redpill connection I'm sorry
[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Better than Jon Jones, Demetrious Johnson? No. He has achieved a lot but he was choked out recently by Nate Diaz and he tapped real fast. He was submitted by nobodies early in his career. He is not the greatest pound for pound fighter on Earth. Mayweather, Jon Jones, or Demetrious Johnson are in that discussion, McGregor is not. Look at any fight fan website, no expert or anyone who understands fight sports has him as the best pound for pound fighter in the world. He is not even the best pound for pound in MMA.
Having said that McGregor is an absolute showman and his second fight against Diaz showed that he can learn from his mistakes. He has talked his way to the top and now he has allegedly secured a fight against Mayweather which will be the world's first billion dollar fight. He is a lesson in determination and how to create hype.
Apart from Rhonda Rousey no-one has earned that sort of money from MMA. Watch this space, if the Mayweather fight is MMA (it will not be) McGregor will destroy and humiliate him. If it is a boxing match, Mayweather will beat him like a red headed stepchild. The Mayweather fight is a con, it is all about the money. Despite that, I love a good show and I will be watching and hoping McGregor pulls off his puncher's chance and wins.
Not to mention, he is Dana white's little bitch.

I don't watch sports and didn't know who he was either. However, I don't think there's anything wrong with having role models from the world of sports. When I was a kid I got into martial arts because of Bruce Lee's movies. Good male role models are exceptionally rare these days, so it's important to find them where we can. That said, I agree that watching TV is a waste of time.
[–]abdada2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
If a guy puts "fucking" as a middle name for another dude, it's not a role model. It's hero worship. It's a huge indicator that a young man is subordinating himself to the idea of a magic wizard character on television.
Actors, including professional sports actors, are clowns. They entertain, follow a script, they even have directors. You can't believe what you see on TV or YouTube because it's a script with a plot engineered to extract a hormonal reaction in the viewer which is equal to the one they'd earn if they played the sport themselves.
In fact, it's shown that sports fans actually are less healthy physically and mentally because of it.
Stop experiencing life through other men. Take a hammer to your TV if you have to.
What a waste of life otherwise.

You're fried as fuck my man, open your damn mind. Go meditate or something and realise that what you are being is a poisionour motherfucker.
"Stop experiencing life through other men" Bro its following fucking sport. Your sentiment is correct for sure, it is important to have your own life and not worship others, but at the same time, its just fun and games.

[–]abdada1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Following televised fucking sport is proven to actually create the same hormone response as doing the sport. This is why dreaming and fantasizing is so bad for minds -- instead of encouraging a person to go out and win, they just experience winning hormones through television.
Did you know when a guy experiences his favorite team or guy losing, his testosterone actually drops? And when they win, it goes up? What kind of effect do you think that has on guys long term?
Think this through -- it is NOT just fun and games, it's a trillion dollar empire used to keep men down.
Ok I'm seeing more of your point now cause you've turned cunt mode down. Following sport religiously is bad yes I agree with that sentiment to some extent. Being so obsessed about anything like sport that provides so little reward is probably a bad thing. With me, i am a casual fan of the NBA and MMA. I'll watch games, follow players etc but it's all a casual thing. I never care much if a particular guy or team wins or loses cause I have allowed myself to not get as attached to it. Pretty sure that wouldn't be harmful in small doses
[–]abdada1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Cunt mode is a viable method to clear out emotion readers, lol.
Pretty sure that wouldn't be harmful in small doses
Yes, that can be true but don't use the term "in moderation". That phrase was invented by companies/brands that know their product is addicting, so they just blame the consumer for not moderating that which isn't possible to moderate.
A few years ago, I got the opportunity to interview 2 well known retired professional sportscasts engineers, one which virtually invented the market. They admitted to me that they work hard to engineer consumer cues in sports telecasts.
When a "down" happens, or a pause after a play, there's a subconsciously single frame "flash" of solid white that triggers a consumer behavior -- usually drinking a beer or eating shit food. The same flash is used commonly in...beer and Doritos commercials.
The same is true in audio engineering -- they bump up the crowd noise at certain times, they accentuate the "bass thump" part of a play, etc. This shit is heavily engineered.
When it comes to MMA, turn off the game and pay attention to the commercials. It's fucking ridiculous -- so much feminine shit sold because the sport is being engineered to attract women and weak men who will never actually accomplish anything athletic.
I have friends who like MMA and I tell them to watch the bouts weeks or months late so they're not caught up in the emotional marketing. I prefer they go out and fight MMA themselves, even at a green newb amateur level. Watching too much shit on TV can make you extremely weak in the neurotransmitters you rely on for personal success.
In my experience in real life and on Facebook, the guys who are most into MMA have no motivation in real life to do anything. They're burning out their dopamine and serotonin receptor sensitivities consuming another man's win.
I just post a few things over at my yellowpill sub that you might like to read -- this one will blow your mind if you spend just an hour or two rabbit holing, and my article today has links to just a few articles about why watching sports as a consumer can actually dampen your own testosterone urges and motivation foundations.

Generally, no. That's not an addiction, that's a reinforced habit. Reinforced habits can be either good (motivated behaviors) or bad (addictive behaviors). Some guys wash their hands 15 times a day and it's a known symptom of OCD which is a serotonin receptor insensitivity that can be likely cured.
It was hard to balance the whole social aspect with entrepreneurship but he did it.
Branson has worked the consumer marketing aspect extremely well, but now he has a large group of marketing researchers and brand engineers to help him plan his social activities. His private life is actually very private -- what you see of his is masterfully cultivated and he's a strong proponent of allowing others to live through his life. It's a brilliant tactic and he was an early adopter of it.
I have 2 close friends in real life who are friends with Branson because of his Caribbean private parties he throws, and they said in real life he's quite shy and introverted, but when in a crowd he becomes a different person that's well strategized and practiced. Makes sense to me, I'm the same way. I just never wanted to be a billionaire -- I tasted wealth in my 20s and I hated the man I had become.

at what age did you find out you were mentally handicapped?
[–]abdada2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
Any guy who watches professional sports on TV is the retard.
What a fucking waste of productive time. You yourself could be producing fights, or marketing them, or fighting -- for fame and money and whatever.
Instead you watch fantasy television and what, get drunk? You're a Disney princess fgt if you waste time with that.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
I didn't know you could get access to wifi in mental institutions.
[–]abdada2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
Guys who watch clowns on TV are losers. Period. Losers.
Guys who produce fights are winners. Guys who fight are winners.
Fandom is for women and young boys under 11. Super heroes don't exist, they're just clowns to distract losers from their shitty lives.
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
So what you are saying is there should be no sport fans ever? MMA fighters should just fight for millions of dollars with not a single person watching?
Listen retard. There is nothing wrong with liking something. Passion applied both to productive activity and sport. Being passionate about sport will help you connect with other people passionate about sport. I cant believe I have to explain this to you.
Maybe this all doesnt make sense to you because, to top it all off, you vape. A guy who vapes is calling out guys who follow sport. Lmao, you have to be a neckbeard. How were the doritos you shoved up your ass for breakfast this morning fat boi?

I think you're fucking with the wrong guy, kid. Your post history is as blue pill is it comes.
I'm 43. I'm retired. At 43. I post here under my real name, monkey. That's how honest and serious I am.
MMA is for women to watch. Look at the advertisers for it. Feminine products and shit
Watching professionals is a way to make guys experience winning without any risk. It's a consumer fucking product for losers.
Real men don't watch other winners winning. Real men turn that shit off and go out and win.
Losers consume, winners produce.
What in the actual fuck have you produced ever? Fandom. Like any loser.
As for vaping, I'm an expert on aroma volatiles and made 6+ figures because of it. How's about that?

Same lines as always, like a broken record. Do you think using a real name makes you sound more authentic? Fucking Facebook? lol.
You say you're 43 but look 63, hardly an endorsement for healthy eating is it? That big ugly nose of yours looks like a huge fucking target asking to be smashed btw.
You have mental issues. Everyone can see it. Narcissistic Personality Disorder/Pathological liar/Internet attention seeking addict. Just admit it.
Seriously, who the fuck would want to be you? What a fucking loser.
Do you know that 'narcissism' is a SJW term?
[–]MackTthe_knife-1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
I know that you are a weirdo who would be better locked away in a mental institution.
Fighting with rules is a bit weak, granted. Can't notch them, no chance for a thumb in the eye.
Watch some of his fights though. He's not a slugger, he's a surgeon.
This fight versus Alvarez is an excellent example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoFjOmqfkl0
