You Should Already Fucking Know This

I'll begin with the sidebar definition of SMV:

Sexual Market Value. A shorthand statement for “what you bring to the table,” whether for an one-night stand or for a longer sexual/emotional relationship.

It's an abstract term that is discussed a lot here, with a central theme being how to increase it. SMV is increased by doing interesting shit. My goal is to put together a reference for actionable ways to become more interesting, more involved, and an all-around better man - IE Increasing one's SMV.

Why You Need to Start Doing Shit

  • Filling your time with various activities and hobbies makes you more interesting and desirable.
  • You will gain experience meeting and talking to strangers.
  • You will build friendships and relationships.
  • You will be able to speak from experience on an array of topics- even those you didn't find to your liking.
  • You will be busy. Time constraints, abundance mentality, etc. don't have to be faked if you are genuinely busy.
  • You will learn more about yourself. What you like, what you hate, and everything in between.
  • You will gain confidence. Confidence is earned by putting yourself in new situations, and rocking the shit out of them. "Fake it till you make it" is not necessarily wrong, but it requires action. Fake confidence to get out of your comfort zone, and in return actually gain more confidence. Rinse and repeat.

What The Shit Are These Categories?

Not all activities are equal in their returns to your SMV. Do whatever the hell you want, but you have to acknowledge this.

Camaraderie - How much does the activity facilitate male bonding and relationships?

Physical Activity - Level of exertion. Obviously this depends on the effort you put in.

Intellectually Stimulating - Will I learn some shit?

Marketability - Can this lead to a trade or skill that I could profit from? Will this help in most workplaces?

Meeting Women - 2 birds 1 stone. Building rapport with women is so much easier in group activities. Many men struggle with approach anxiety, but if you structure your life to include group activities you enjoy, there will be no shortage of women. The 'approach' aspect of clubs and bars vanishes.

Finally The Fucking Chart
