Summary: Back in December I began investing in myself in every aspect of my life, in just a month there is a noticeable difference, and now I'm hooked on self improvement.

Background: I was the beta bux husband. I was cheated on, disrespected and discarded by my HB7 narcissistic wife and am currently going through divorce rape. In hindsight this is the greatest thing to ever happen to my life.

Body: I started from the bottom, beta, weak, confused and went into monk mode. I first had to gain control of my emotional state as life was in disarray. I attended therapy, group meetings, read books and articles, read subreddits including TRP. Once I understood what happened to me, how my wife's brain worked, how my own brain worked, I began having epiphanies and realized that I had given up control of my life and control over my own happiness. I understood that I needed to learn to be the source of my own happiness, and my quest began.

I first created an environment around me that was enjoyable and inviting, a clean apartment, that smelled nice, and was a source of comfort and zen. Next I hired a stylist (Check out TrunkClub), she gathered my info, understood what I liked, and sent me a box of clothes. I kept what I liked and what looked good on me and returned the rest. It wasn't cheap, but it was an investment in myself. First time in my life that I paid $200 for shoes, and my god everyone comments how nice my suede oxfords look, men and women. I finally had shirts that didn't fit me like a tent, they were tight on my chest and made me look bigger. Chinos hugged my ass and flaunted my greatest asset that is my hockey butt and women have noticed.

As I have emotionally improved and fashionably improved I finally began to physically improve. The regular old gym didn't do it for me as I really don't know what I'm doing, if I'm lifting correctly, pushing myself hard enough or hurting myself. A friend of mine was going to an MMA gym, so I checked it out. I took a boxing class, signed up that day and haven't looked back. I'm doing boxing 4x a week and power lifting classes 4x a week with trainers. In just a month of this my body has begun to transform. I was an average body type with a bit of a beer gut, now my stomach is flatter, abs are starting to poke through, and my upper body is getting bigger and harder. I can see the difference in the mirror every day. In addition to the gym I am eating healthier, whole foods of meats, fruits and veggies. Minimizing processed foods and carbs. My weight has maintained at about 200lbs, but its clear that I have less fat and more muscle which is exactly what I want.

After this initial self investment I am now hooked on self improvement. My new years resolution was to be better everyday, better than the person I was the day before. Now I'm seeing the results and everyone around me is seeing the results. Here are some comments I've received from women and men, friends and plates.

"I love those shoes"
"You're looking buff"
"I love your wardrobe lately"
"Are you feeling good because you look good"
"Your weight has shifted from down here to up here"
"I love your butt"
"Your life is so fulfilling"
"Your apartment smells great"

All these affirmations are a boost to my confidence, and confirm that I must continue my quest to be better everyday, physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially, professionally and spiritually. I walk taller, carry myself with confidence and speak with charisma. I have 4 plates spinning now just months after my marriage fell apart. I spent the night with an HB9 last week, and hanging out again this week. I had an HB6 in my apartment the other night and she was trembling as I took my shirt off, I could see the tingles. I want to get to the point where HB9s are trembling when I take my shirt off. I'm not going to stop investing in myself now, its so much more rewarding than investing in a narcissistic woman. I've swallowed the pill, and I couldn't be happier.

Lessons Learned: Investing in oneself is so much more rewarding than investing in a narcissistic woman.
