A specialist instructor in my professional program told me "what a difference a year makes!" after our session the other day. She said the last time we worked together last year, I was "unconfident" but this week I was "totally different" and "completely in charge". My frame is getting stronger.

6 months ago I was 160 pounds (I'm 5'7, kind of a smaller build so 160 in fat was a lot on me), eating like shit, my LTR cheated on me, I was drinking alone in excess every night (due to how miserable I was from being cheated on) and overall felt like fucking trash.

Fast forward to now after I told myself to fucking get a grip and figure my shit out:

Cracked my fucking weight loss goal, dropped 20 pounds and am sitting at 140 lbs and building muscle, eating WAY better, working harder, quit drinking, doing nofap, working out four times a week and have never looked or felt better. It actually just happened in the last couple weeks that I finally got to where I'm at now and my confidence has never been higher. Thanks for everything TRP, you guys are fucking inspiring.

Restricted netflix to w/ food or 1 hr as I go to sleep only

Finally decided to take on the goal of becoming a certified personal trainer.

I just got tired of working part-time jobs in shitty corporations.

It'll allow me to do something I love to do, which is train people (I already have had quite a few people asking me to train them and people saying I should be a trainer).

It's something cool that will help me out getting through school without making me feel miserable.

Haven't posted in the Weekly Progress thread since March. I have had a non-debilitating but still inhibiting fuck-around-itis since I failed at Men-Of-March (not hard to guess how I failed-Hint: it wasn't the push-ups) However IMO it is important and vital to red pill growth, as evidenced by the OYS in MRP.

Fitness I am between memberships at a gym. Need to figure that out. It's been a couple months. Ever since I started training in bjj, I have only been doing that. Which is retarded because I need it arguably even more to prehab myself, but gyms in this country are hella expensive. Trying to get my hands on a hard copy of "Becoming a Supple Leopard".

BJJ on the other hand is going fine, seeing a lot of improvement, with heavy doses of humility thrown in as well. Rolled with a guy that has >20 kilo on me who just started and that showed me I clearly have a long way to go. But I am getting addicted to the feeling of having submitted someone. It's a pure, raw power that's quite intoxicating.

Game/RP Reading I resumed reading TRM as it was my Men of March book to read and I never actually finished it. So far it has mostly been re-reading (which is good anyway because TRM is dense and can't be read quickly without review). I also printed Book of Pook, How to Win Friends and Influence People, and Meditations (hard to get ahold of English paperbacks here).

Went out Thursday and had a handful of approaches. Got 2 #'s. The crew of 2 other guys I was rolling with was impressed I approached a 4-set myself, and I was able to number-close one of the girls on the pretenses of making a whatsapp group of everyone and all going to the beach or something. However I was disappointed that I wasn't able to lead the group elsewhere, like a club or something, which I had attempted to do(we met them in a park walking between clubs).

Side-notes: I need to do more research into frame and mission, to have a better concept of the two. Right now I just think of frame as my inner world and the external signals of said inner world's current status. And with regard to mission, I know I want to be super fit, have lots of adventures, add value in the world of business in ways that make lot's of people lot's of money. But I am in school right now. One more year. So I am not sure how to consolidate all that into "my mission" or even if I am thinking of it correctly.

Ongoing training for the Tough Mudder in Colorado at 10,000' next month. Been traveling from near sea level to 5900' to hike near 7800', noticing improvements in how far I can run uphill at altitude.

I built a tall salmon ladder/gymnastics rings setup. The rings are a nice thing to have, but I recommend paying more for wooden rings. The knobs in the molded plastic ones start to hurt your fingers.

The salmon ladder is another matter. I've still only gotten one side of the bar up to the next level. When you miss and clack back down to the first level, it rips and tears stuff; am taking a week off of that for now till my right arm recovers fully.

It's great to have your own exercise equipment on hand, instead of having to schlep to the gym for every workout.

Ran a half marathon.

Bad

Half Marathon made me so fucking tired, I've been much weaker strength wise since then. will probably recover fully in a couple more days though.
^ Binge ate shit food for some days after the half marathon. I'm a little puffy right now, still got abs anyway.
^ Been quite tired. had some real lazy days. stay up a bit late some days.

The Good

At the beginning of the year I made a resolution to completely cut out porn, I made it a couple months then failed. I've sworn it off this time for good while also nofap for about 2 weeks. I'm not actually doing nofap as I don't believe in it past a certain point, a more accurate term would be minimalfap. I want to fuck any non-fat chick that walks by me now... like right then and there.

The Bad

Had to skip a couple workouts due to slicing my finger really bad at work. It sounds like a lame excuse, but where the cut is would reopen when gripping any weight.

A while ago I made a comment in the April 21st weekly improvement thread describing how I started getting my shit together.

Since then:

1.)I got promoted at my job. I now have a way more stress-free position that pays enough for me to have basic necessities and allows me to have enough mental capacity and willpower to focus on my goal when I get back home at night.

2.)I've been lifting and dieting religiously and have lost 7 kilograms. My lifts are getting stronger, my body is getting leaner. Clothes that I considered throwing away are starting to fit nicely and just in a few weeks will fit ideally. Continued supplementing with Creatine and about to add BCAA-s and will be experimenting with various nootropics soon.

3.)Keep putting in the hours into coding. Currently really struggling with Javascript but I'm learning. Not going to stop.

Not really satisfied with my progress - I could've lost more weight. I could've been more disciplined with coding and sometimes I had to skip a few hours because of poor time-management. I failed to keep up a NoFap streak.

But overall, I like the direction my life is going in right now.

Back to square one, working seats with a single plate. found this

Holy fuck, night and day difference. Even with the back still weak and occasional 'slipping' this was not only easy, but way better feel throughout the posterior chain. Granted, that bar isn't getting all the way down yet, but this will go well.

In a year, may finally have a need for those fucking hooks in my bag.

Slowly adding 5lbs per session. Had these 'irritated disks' as the doctor called them since I was 24, supposedly it's common for the ship, constantly battering your back with the waves. Very glad I got out, the guys still in are starting to get those permanent aches and pains.

Stepping up on the IF. did 36 hours last week, will probably do another 24-48 this weekend. Once the travel schedule gets into full gear, will be flying more than not, so it's going to be hard to keep the diet in check

Lifting: I'm older and I have realised trying to lift too heavy is not good for me. Have hurt my lower back, shoulder and neck all in the last three months. Have switched to using lighter weights with more reps. Already noticing improvements to my form. I plan on sticking to this for several months as the injuries were beginning to worry me. Older backs are not suited to heavy barbells. I am hoping that increasing reps will provide me with the same benefits. Was proud of myself that even though I went overseas to party hard I did not miss a single session at the gym.

Finance: I have needed to diversify in my business for sometime now. I rely too heavily on two sectors of industry and I have been too fearful to try something new. So I started to market into a new sector and took a risk hiring a new staff member and paying for a small marketing rollout of a new brand. I did this even when my personal assistant was away overseas, leaving me with a lot more on my plate. So far the results have been very encouraging and I wish I did this years ago. I was a chicken shit to avoid this and I could have advanced my early retirement by several years if I did this when I first had the idea. I have a first mover's advantage in this market and I suspect it will add significantly to my bottom line over the next few years, maybe indefinitely.

Diet: I have been trying to reduce the amount of sugar/ carbs I consume and so far I am doing OK. I slip sometimes and have bread, or a few beers buy generally it has been been easier than I thought. Have lost a few pounds that I gained while bulking (and while partying overseas). I intend to permanently reduce the amount of sugar I consume (did not have sweets before but was having too many carbs in my diet - full carb beer being main contributor).

Family: has been great. Kids happy, new GF settling into my lifestyle and contributing well. Kids like my new girl. Loads of fun activities, kids happy, improving at their sports and doing well at school. I am adjusting to being off the market. Do not miss the plates and single life as much as I thought I would (most of the time).

Successes:

Been gyming consistently 5-6 times a week, gained lots of muscles and loss a lot of fat

I closed an operations manager contract gig for two weeks in the UK for $3,000, plus all travel expenses paid, plus room and board.

I managed to hold my own for 6 full minutes against my martial arts instructor before having my ass handed to me.

I finally noticed the SPECIFIC motion that my brain makes, when it starts making excuses for failure. The fucker's in my sights now, and will be crushed out of me.

Finished my first year of college last week. Finished with almost a 4.0, but got initiated into my favorite fraternity and networked a ton for a freshman.

I've been feeling really angry looking at people on facebook and snapchat, so I deleted the apps off my phone. I started channeling this anger into working out from four times a week to six times. Also, started running long distance and my legs are completely destroyed.

I've been going out with a cute girl recently and appreciate her traditionalist demeanor. So far, no red flags and my frame has been solid. Hope she holds up and can promote her to LTR soon.

I have nothing planned for the summer, so I plan on taking some CLEP exams for extra college credit and reading more about finance. I hope to keep networking to secure a fall internship when I get back to school this autumn.

Finally finished my 16 week British Army fitness regimen, it's great for building up a baseline level of fitness. I went on a streak of losing with tinder dates that caused me lose frame and revert back to my old creepy ways. I drunk texted and doing stupid cringe shit. I am disappointed in myself.

On a positive side, I will continue to go to the gym, work on myself. Recently, I have been seeing a lot of my facebook friends posting how success they have become. I feel alone by comparing them to where I am at.

Fitness

Don't have a gym in my area, so I'm just doing the ol' prisoner workout for around 40 or so minutes every day. I'm not making any gains, but I'm getting into an exercise routine and I'm not gaining extra cellulite. That's something. Also cutting out shit foods like pasta and white bread and replacing them with meat, fish and vegetables. Cutting back heavily on the milk in my coffee. I don't put any sugars in and am now putting the teeniest tiniest amount of milk in. I've also noticed that my hair isn't as limp and I can actually do more shit with it now. Acne isn't nearly as horrid as it once was, either.

Game, Frame and other TRP Shit

Still a kissless virgin in my early 20's, but now that I've been keeping a strong frame and standing my ground and not being a pushover for two whole years, I've noticed that everyone's happier to be around me and are far more lenient of any stupid shit I accidentally do. Girls, especially. They actually like me now. I've been watching girls who I think are around 18-22 years old, and for the first time in my life, they're happy to see and talk to me. I've been friendly and reassuring with them and they're keeping up their bubbly spirit, but whenever I tease them a little with that classic egotistical smirk after every remark, they can't stop smiling, giggling and fiddling with whatever's on their wrists while looking at me with those deer-caught-in-headlights eyes. My self-doubt's still stopping me from getting a few numbers (gotta stop that), but I'm definitely going to pull the trigger and get the shy cutie who's obviously got a thing for me's number the next time I meet her.

I've also stopped caring about my loveless and sexless life. I don't have the compulsion to rush things anymore. It's gotten to the point where I'd rather snag a girl who's into me and have my way with her for my first time rather than just buying any old hooker off the backpage to get my dick wet for the first time. No need to rush things.

Career

I'm a low-level construction worker who didn't go to uni, but I plan to get a heavy machinery license or two and operate them to rake in the cash until I decided whether to pursue a skilled trade or go to uni. I'm giving myself until the end of next year to decide. I've also spent some of my time studying math, something I never learned at school.

I used to have a lot of trouble seeing progress in the gym. Was stuck at a certain weight but always seemed to give it my all and bust my ass harder than a lot of the other guys that were bigger than me. Sort of got mad at myself and others that were able to gain easier than I could. Learned one of the guys that I looked up to was taking large doses of steroids but claimed natural so that opened my eyes up a little bit. Been working out 6 days a week consistently now and eating 3300 calories a day (6'2", 180) and have seen some decent gains in my first 3 weeks of lifting on a P/P/L routine--enough that I am driven to continue.

I used to do a lot of boxing when I was younger but sort of fell away from it and lagged behind. I'm looking to get back into it because I know I have an insane natural potential and could possibly make a career out of it. Been working bag and keeping up on the cardio. Haven't eaten sugar foods in over 1 month now either. I used to always say "No Thanks." to sugar or sweets but sometimes have something small in private, but I've completely cut that out now.

I used to have an emotional investment in NoFap but lost all drive and motive for it after reading a lot of stuff about how NoFap is a meme and test levels drop after 6 days anyways but I actually noticed some changes when I was doing it whether they were placebo or not.

It's been approximately two months into TRP/Manosphere, I have a constantly growing positive male identity.

Positives:

Gym/Lifting/Running: Lost 3 inches on the waistline, Gained 2.5 Kgs, Able to do 4 body-weight pull ups for the first time in my life. Never been in a better shape ever. 18% body fat at 78 Kgs lost most of my love handles yaaye!

Music/Guitars/Vocals: Learnt all basic chords and progressions(Know enough to impress any taylor swift fan), Mastered a number of singing techniques. Not to mention I learnt guttrals, fry and false chord screaming. Man, The grainy heavy baritone you get in your voice is amazing.

Social Skills: Completed the 30 day challenge #5, #6 in progress. This has lifted my confidence levels to the moon. I can literally go up to anyone and talk to anyone(see Negatives section) and in 15-20 minutes make great connections with people.

Lifestyle changes: Threw away all loose fitting or ugly clothes, I have started building a fresh wardrobe. Cut down on most consumption of pornography, sugar, Listening to music for most part of the day. Started eating clean. Moved out of the apartment I shared with my earlier fat-good for nothing flatmates.

Coding and work: Resigned from work to get a masters.

Reading: Finished 3 books on finance and business since I want to start a business in a few years from now. currently midway 48 laws of power.

Negatives:

Social Skills: Although I can go up to anyone and have a great conversation, I find it particularly hard to do escalation with beautiful women.

Lifestyle changes: I have tried No fap. The first time I tried, I had an extra motivation and energy to get shit done. Unfortunately, since I'm breaking this habit I think I'll take a while to get there.

Coding: Needs to be done with more discipline and I personally am not happy with my work in this area. I wanted to finish a few section in Hackerrank but have not been able to. Also I wanted to revise some subjects before I start my masters in Sept. I haven't started them yet.

Gym/Lifting/Running: Although the results have been decent I need to optimize on the time spent at the gym. Currently I am at the gym for 1.5 hours everyday without fail.

This was the first day of my 'daily approach' rule. I've recently immigrated to another country where the women are very Greek and cute as all hell. I went to an Adidas store and a girl helping me was slim, 5 foot nothing with a nice rack. She kept give me this 'deer in the headlights'; look like she's never seen an attractive, tall, built, Ameri-euro-mutt. I've gone into monk mode for the past 2 month post break-up and just want to shake this approach anxiety bullshit. Especially in a new country. So this was a win I can calibrate from.
