My younger brother and I cut off all contact with our abusive mother. We both realised that she's been trying to destroy our self-esteem, social circles and future careers from the day we were born to ensure that we'd be too broken to ever leave the house and leave her on her own. We've both moved in with friends and are both making minimum wage until university starts.

Accomplishments:

• Made it to the gym at least once a day, every day this week

• Closed on a HB7 from the gym, as well as a HB9 from a club

• Promotion, as well as a raise at work

• 95% of the way debt free

Needs work:

•Sacrificed aforementioned HB for sleep, need to keep a better schedule

•Work ahead in classes instead of postponing to the last minute

•Only cold approached at the gym, need to work on pick up elsewhere

Brain fog is still a huge problem for me, still finding it hard to focus and get work done. Now that exams are over for now I'm catching up.

Pros:

Lifting minimum 3 times a week either at home or the gym
Been utilizing WWIDIIWL and actually getting more schoolwork done. Made myself a goal of hitting 2.5 GPA this school year, then 3.0+ the following years (I'm way under 2.0 atm)
More confident in myself but find myself slipping if the fog is bad

Cons:

Fog was real bad and I acted/did beta shit like too many videogames and fapping
Didn't go 100% at the gym, making a workout music mix this week

General Goals:

GPA thing as already stated
Catching up in all my subjects
Keep going to bed at 12
Working on frame

Also I haven't been drinking or doing drugs and my brain feels so clear. It's mind blowing how great sobriety can be if you're on a mission in life, very easy to forget that

I've been working out 4 times per week and at least one of those workouts with a trainer. A friend (whom I had not seen in a few months) visited me over the weekend and said that he noticed my physical progress immediately and was impressed with how much better my body looked. Confidence through the roof.

I've also been doing NoFap. Relapsed a few times in the past 3 or 4 weeks but I've been noticing better self control and improved social prowess, less brain fog and better eye contact with people.

Things are starting to go great

• Got through all of my exams and a crazy busy work week

• Have caught the eye of at least 3 girls this week. (Got the number of one today, the other made me cookies and brought them to me at work, and the other I’ll grab when I get back off vacation)

• Decided to max out on my Deload week for a few muscles and hit all new PR’s

•Made a lot of sales at work and am becoming a true role model that others are looking up to.

Positive:

Ended my heroin relapse and am now entirely drug-free for the first time in over a year - no subutex or opiates of any kind and am 4 days in.

The cons:

The process of relapsing and then quitting totally derailed all the positive things I was doing. When I was on subutex only a month or so ago, I was lifting, meditating, working hard and crushing it, and now feel like I'm back at square one, and though I have dropped opiates in the process I feel like I've dropped everything else as well.

Need to do:

Will renew my gym membership again next week and start lifting again ASAP.

Fell behind on my assignments - explained situation to tutor and got an extension but its a whole week late now so I need to get it done ASAP.

Need to focus on regaining my physical & mental health. I know the next few weeks will be rough with PAWs, but if I stay focused I can emerge the other side stronger for it.

I'm bulking up. Started at 71 kg last August, now at 86.5 kg as of 2 days ago.
In regards to studying and information recall, everything I am reading is sticking and I'm applying it very well both personally and professionally.
More social.
Increased awareness of IOI's and female attention.
Crossed off two of my big 2017 goals.

Bad

Stagnated a lot in my routines and daily habits.
In terms of personal development reading, I have stagnated.
Been dirty bulking the last few weeks. Gained some muscle mass so my body has had a great response from it in terms of aesthetics. But personally, I want to go back to my balanced bulking strategy. More fruit, veg, starchy carbs and water. Save the shit for the weekend. It is not just about sheer size to me, health is key.
Have not written my lifetime goals or roadmap down. I have them in my head but whenever I write try to put them to paper, I allow distractions to creep in/do something else.
Allowed paralysis by over analysis to rear its ugly head.

Improvements

Greatly improved my performance in my part time job (I’m a university student only and work full time when school is out)
My band got booked for two gigs, one bar and one festival.
A on my exam, B+ on a paper
Trained MMA twice this week, only missing tomorrow because I have class. The gym is fine. I'm at the tail end of a cut so everything is a struggle but I’m about 11% which is fine with me. Time to eat.

Failures

I smoked pot this week even though I told myself I wouldn’t. Granted it went from 6 times a day for the last few years (some breaks) to this week I had a snap or two at night after everything I had to do for the day was done. I could be doing productive stuff all day though if I got my shit together. I don’t even enjoy it anymore.
Dipped a lot this week, always end up doing it more before a big exam. I should quit this as well.
Did dumbbell incline instead of flat bench the other day, not the worst thing but it’s only because I was feeling lazy.
Could be spending a lot more of my time productively need to stop being lazy.

SUCCESS:

Reached the first 5lb mark in my weight loss journey. I don’t have a lot to lose. I’d always been naturally thin. Somehow packed on the better part of 25lbs since starting university (in my 3rd year now). My goal is to lose another 5 (through good diet and weight lifting) then decide if I want to focus more on muscle growth or cut down a bit more. I’m currently still at a healthy weight (by BMI) / if I was jacked at my highest weight, it would have been fine/healthy. But I’m not jacked/ripped/shredded lol. Working on that part too.
Started mindfulness meditation again. My goal is to meditate at least 10 minutes per day. Working through a program in an app I’ve enjoyed using before (Smiling Mind).
Decided to cut out alcohol for a while, didn’t drink on Friday or Saturday. My goal is to not drink until my birthday (just before Christmas).
Decided to cut out masturbation/pornography. My goal is to do a 90-day “reset”. I don’t think I have a problem with porn or even masturbation really, but I do use them both as tools for procrastination (a bigger problem I’m trying to address).

FAILURE:

Didn’t go to all my university classes this week. My goal is to go to them all, obviously. I have a problem with waking up early, so I often end up late for my morning classes. I hate going to class late (I consider it rude) so then I often just skip them entirely.
Didn’t hold frame with my LTR, let her disrespect me in public. My goal is to STFU more. I’m going to take some time this week to consider her role in my life and whether it’s overall beneficial or not. She has generally been very good to me (cleans my apartment, lots of sex, offers to drive me places, etc.) but lately I feel she takes me for granted in some ways. That said, I’ve been grossly, emotionally needy a few times in the past month or two and so I need to rebuild myself before I blame her.
Haven’t tidied my apartment like I keep telling myself I will. My goal by Wednesday is to tidy my bathroom, by Friday my goal is to have tidied my bedroom.

Positive:

Been taking care of my acne problem with a combination of Western prescribed cream, men's facial cleansers including black charcoal and traditional Chinese medicine. Anazing results thus far with visible soft, pure skin but will use facemasks for remaining spots
Lifting going good, going for that magical pump with the Mind-Muscle connection every workout instead of how much can I lift
Nutrition is key. Cut back on how much meat I consume daily, 80% greens 15% meat is the balance I aim for. No need for supplements/vitamins when u got your veggies and fruits

Negative:

Too much cardio (am football player) and consequently losing a bit of weight
Need to focus on academics if I wish to obtain the skills I need to become a rich cunt
Still looking at girls, can't fully ignore the ladies. Thus am technically not in Monk Mode

Really just research at this point. Reading up on Toastmasters body language guide, rational man articles, and bachelor pad economics guide.

Got the haircut, said between ivy league or crew cut and got a blank star from the stylist in a male dominated sports clip. Spent an hour waiting in line reading pad economics, so wasn't a waste of time. So will keep searching next month for a good barber place.

Looking good nutrition and exercise wise, excited to see any feedback from family members over thanksgiving, will keep an eye out so I don't gurge myself too much besides on protein. Will see if I can nab any specials for new outfits, need to make a new notch in my belt after losing weight. Stopped losing weight and hovering at 224 now, but realized while moving 2 dozen 400 pound desks that I have plenty of room to improve muscular strength with a 40+ year old air force retiree out-lifting me.

Texted the HB6 from the party and going to see a comedy club Saturday after a dinner, keeping it friendly on her text asking to be that way, I'll just treat it as practice for interactions and keep my eye on body language while checking out the most active night life spot in the area. Still sitting on a 1/75 match rate on tinder atm, still need to take those pictures. Guessing it would be in my interest to start messaging after 5 at minimum during work days right?

Goal for next week, lots of travel time and going to New Jersey for family from my more rural / suburban area so tinder may be more interesting just to chat and see if my luck is area based. (will do a test with and w/o new photos). Also finishing up readings while family drives other half. Try out meditating for at least 10 - 20 minutes this week after that nice beginner's guide post.

Progress:

I don't know if it's considered progress to be moving forward with ending things with the LTR, but it feels like it. The progress comes from being more honest with myself and maintaining my integrity.

I've maintained a 5-day a week gym schedule for the last two weeks. The previous side girl even drug me to the gym at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Green flag.

Progress on the home renovation is continuing. Almost to the point where the master bathroom is usable. This week we were able to finish tiling the shower and installing all the trim and the vanity. I cannot wait to start using that bathroom.

Needs work: Things with the ex LTR are difficult. We had a lot of finances tied together. That is something I will never do again. We plan on separating the accounts next week, but it will leave me almost broke and with 10 grand in debt where I previously had several grand and no debt. Just another part I'll need to rebuild.

The side girl has moved up to the main girl, though I haven't committed, and she has told me she loves me. Red flag.

I'm weaker than I used to be. Need to maintain gym schedule and diet and get back to being able to snatch, ffs.

My attention and effort toward the home renovation has waned. Need to focus more attention on myself and my goals, but it is difficult with the current rock that's been thrown through my tranquil window through which I perceived life.

I got a job, and im learning to code in my spare time, I have no means of transportation and live far from any major city, I let that stop me from making progress until I decided Its better to do anything than nothing at all, so ive started doing bodyweight exercise. I let this LTR oneitis ive had for a year destroy my frame and suffered no consequences, until we went distance, at which point i started to feel like shit. I let it have way too much control over my life and happiness so over the last week I have detached from it significantly.

Positive: - 5 minute interval training twice per day, once in the morning and once at night. Dropped from 185 to 165 in the last month, simply from improving diet and lifestyle. - Got some new brand clothing for cheap and people noticing has significantly boosted my confidence - Got acne product to clear my face - Distanced myself and allowed my self worth to STOP coming from this LTR - Went to an MMA striking class - Had success on dating apps

Negative: - I still have too much invested in an LTR which im certain is a bad idea. - Money is still tight because I showed my hand to my employer before they placed their bet, if i had waited longer i could have gotten much more, good lesson. - My game needs improvement since i have been away for so long. - I Need to learn to generate communities in my area and not rely on existing connections.

Positive results so far:

Started lifting.
Almost an entirely different person with women.
Social awareness much stronger overall.
Cut the cancer that was fapping every day or couple of days.
I am not a much more goal-oriented person.

Things that still need to be improved:

Having a better game with women and starting to get pussy is nice, but it made me realize how much the other areas in my life are lacking. With women, I now lead. At the workplace and in life in general, I'm still more of the "nice guy" I used to be. I am working towards a stronger frame especially when interacting with males.
Skipped one day of gym so far so I can get stoned and play videogames and absolutely hated myself for it.

I've made a pivot at work into more of a confident outgoing leadership mindset. Since I just bought it last week this has a big impact. Had a work party where I made a point of interacting with and getting to know everyone that I haven't yet. Making small but impactful improvements right off the bat to maintain excitement 10/10

Home, however, I'm really slacking because I'm distracted by the company I just bought. Haven't been to the gym in over a week. Sleeping like shit. Eating like shit. Migraines from shoulder tension. Not stretching enough. Not eating enough real food. Brain fog is setting in. Haven't approached in a week. Drinking on weeknights (only a couple, but still). Desperately need some balance 1/10

FRAME across the board, maintaining better and better frame, I feel like its starting to click for me. This has been the hardest for me to internalize, despite my rereadings of NMMNG and WISNIFG. 6/10

Needs work:

hit a gym, refocus my workout routine now that I've quit crossfit. Right now I'm still doing 5x5 stronglifts, but my arms/chest is small though my thighs and glutes are muscular.

find a routine with good habits

So I employed some better grooming, more elaborate clothing choices but more importantly intermitent fasting finally let my fitness regime make a difference. I’ve toned down almost 6 kg within 3months with some muscular gain. At this point I will get a lot of looks from girls and practically guaranteed some girls throwing themselves at me but the biggest difference I have noticed is ammount of shit tests I get have exploded. Good practice opportunity.

Accomplishments this week:

*Paid off £880 of credit card debt (feels good man)

*Improved performance at Bouldering

Went on my first weighted run along the beach and booked a beach half-marathon for next May - goals!
Began setting up my own company
Now only 40 credits away from a law degree!

Needs work:

Cut contact with oneitis
Quit alcohol, I drink far too much and am beginning to worry it might become a problem
Gotta quit watching porn

Will update next week, wish me luck!

Was chatting this cutie pie up, just basic small talk and when she was explaining a specific event in her day she started bouncing around a little and put her hands on top of her head. I'm not the most socially experienced, so I thought I was making her uncomfortable or something and ended up cutting the conversation short.

I didn't ask her anything personal, just how her weekend was going and why she was stressed (her response to my question). Did I fuck up? Or was she just reacting to the memory of what stressed her out?

Been hitting the gym and practising piano consistently. Also been trying to fix the acne on my face and have been consistent with that. However i did skip cardio a few times.

Still unsure if i should start approaching or continue to build up my SMV because as of now im definitely not in the top 20% of men.

Good: I’ve met a new girl after being rejected so many times, and she’s been worth the wait thus far. She’s smart and she makes me laugh. Also kissed her. Fantastic lips.

I got some really good bonding time with my sisters, as they’re busy at university during the fall. It’s always rewarding knowing you’re spending quality time with family.

I actually went to biology lab this week, even though I dread it. I start with an 8AM and end at 4PM with lab, just brutal.

Bad:

I’ve been skipping class maliciously.

I haven’t been to the gym in a week but last time I did it was legs, usually I skip legs (red pill grill me)

I’ve been spending too much money, way too much. My money management has been poor.

I haven’t read my bible but for some reason God has been calling me, I just haven’t answered.

I returned to my hometown which is literally shitty and small. Women here are not worth it, besides if you fuck one everybody knows and they're all friends with each other so cockblocking from other girls occurs. I took a step by buying a ticket back to my university city, where the real opportunity blooms. I also hit the gym more dynamically than the last month I have been going through some shit. I work. I gather money to have when I leave here. I am going to look for a job and focus on my classes, body, nutrition, job if found and self improvement and at the same time women.

Still lifting and/or exercising 6 days a week
Finally found the career path that I truly want to follow. I came to college premed but it has withered as I look forward to the accumulation of debt and lost time and it is no longer something I have my heart in and can no longer continue with something that time-consuming that I don't have my heart in. I am a bit nervous to tell my parents because they were so hard on the medical bandwagon over thanksgiving break but I thank TRP for helping to give me the confidence to do what I feel is best for me.

I (and my family) cut all contacts with our abusive aunt after our family has been experiencing verbal abuse from her since I was a child (I'm turning 19). Both my parents are unemployed so our family somewhat rely on her in financial assistance since she got no children and have a stable job. It's okay for us to swallow our pride since we really need some money back then. The problem starts when she starts treating us like crap and calling my parents some nasty names. Hell, she even tried to ruin my image by posting on facebook all my wrongdoings SEVERAL YEARS AGO, like wtf? What kind of sane person with professional job would even do that? We've had enough and we are done with that bitch.

Found myself suffering some oneitis and, worse, recalling some oneitis from a past LTR. Participating in TRP has helped me stay focused and rationally remove the previous LTR from the pedestal I was slowly elevating her back onto.

I made a weekly schedule, been following it daily. Writing my goals down everyday. Been taking care of my health and appearance and saving money for braces. Almost finished writing my first book! Been proofing the proof copy of it everyday and am so close to publishing!! Super pumped! Been practicing guitar, learning things I'm interested in like the stock market and how to read guitar tabs and notation etc. Been getting out my comfort zone and working on my goals!
