I read a study about rats mating and we, human males, seem to bow to the same principal. Rat was given a female rat in his cage. He was fucking her many times a day but day after day, count of coitus was decreasing. One would think rat simply got enough. Wrong. Now they switched the female rat and the male was fucking new one as often as he did at the beginning of the test. Rat is hardwired to seek novelty.

Problem with porn is that novelty is under a mouse button and almost limitless. Everybody who ever watched porn knows that taste changes. Dopamine dose decreases from regular fucking and now we are suddenly interested only in anal, in some time that will change as well, we seek a better stimulant.

I dare anybody to simply do a test. Go, for a month, without porn and fap. Fuck your girls regularly but don't watch porn at all and don't fap. Chances are you will see stuff in different colors.

I urge shy men to do it especially cause porn and fap is numbing you down. Go one month without dropping a load and watching porn and you will be no longer shy with women. Nature will push you towards them.

Men are different. We have different brains. We get hooked up on stuff on different levels. Some people can't stand soda, some are addicted to it. Some men can live with porn and fap on the top level. Some get addicted. Some waste to much time on it. Some just numb themselves down with dopamine shot just to make another day pass by. Try no fap and no porn and see what it gives you. If nothing then you can always go back.

5 is not so obvious. If you are going to get sexual release, and it takes more time going after chicks than grabbing some porn from your hard drive, then using porn actually returns more time for self improvement.

Most of the studies done on porn use focus on the effects of excess porn use, not occasional.

This is the same error made by people that try to insist on abstinence from alcohol for everyone. You can't condemn moderate activity with the downsides of extreme activity.

My opinion on the concept 'not masturbating' is completely different. I quit masturbating ~120 days ago, I was curious to see how my body/mind would react, felt like it was an interesting challenge. I haven't masturbated since, for the simple reason that abstinence is easier than masturbating infrequently (would get constant boners etc.). My search-for-porn sessions used to cost me quite some time, and for the time being I'm using the time to work on some important projects that are ongoing in my life.

I think that for anything you do as much as masturbating, it's interesting to see what your life would be like if you chose not to do it.

Nothing wrong with porn or watching it , too much of anything is bad and can harm you which we already know . Too much of water can kill you , too much caffeine can kill you , too much gambling can hurt your life or your family , sleeping with your smartphone for many times has negative side effects or too much exercise can cause you serious problems . I'm a no-fap fan - have been a lot more active and productive in life as a result and would encourage all to try 90 days on hard mode, and then make your own decision.

The other thing I recommend is imagination wanks - as I'm sure we have all been surprised about own fetishes when we fap too much, using your imagination really brings you back to your raw instincts and desires about; your friends sister / co-worker etc. and you feel a lot less guilt/shame/dirty for doing it (if you have any negative feelings towards masturbation). Also, do it standing, much stronger feeling during orgasm.

I don't buy some of those points brought up in your post and the video (watched a few mins). For example, I believe that our biology wants us to "refresh" our reserves of semen on a regular basis, so we masturbate to renew it. While excessive fapping can be draining, moderate masturbation feels healthy to me and sometimes makes me more confident.

I like the sub nofap and it's a cool challenge that I'm looking to try out in the future. I'm just finding myself less and less interested in porn BECAUSE of TRP. I hate seeing how women are faking it from start to finish. In TRP, we strive to getting success with women by earning it and turning her on by our own masculinity and seductive vibes. A lot of girls in porn don't fit into this and it comes off too fake and unmerited in a way.

These are a bunch of thoughts floating in my head that I couldn't put coherently into a post. I'm open to changing my views, but I also don't like this attack we're seeing these days on guys who like porn and masturbation. They're trying to criminalize human nature and something that's healthy on many occasions.

I wish I had known points 1-4 when I was younger, before I created a pretty strong habit of porn addiction. Basically, fapping once or twice everyday for 15 years (30 now, started when I hit puberty, but just calculating 15 for simplicity). Rounding up to 400 faps a year, which is my rough estimate for including binge days, equals 6000 faps in 15 years (and counting)!

That's like... a lot, man. What else in my life have I devoted to doing every single day? I could be an expert in something by now with that kind of devotion. Anyway, reducing my fapping has been nothing but beneficial to my life. I still stray back to the porn once in awhile, and porn is actually more enjoyable if you're horny, but your woman is even more enjoyable than porn when you're horny. When I was incel for so long and eventually got married, you'd think I'd be having issues with premature ejaculation and so forth, but in fact the opposite happened, where I wasn't able to climax at all.

So, for those who don't think there's any problem with daily fapping, I would just ask them if they've had sex with a woman recently and if they can climax easily when doing so or if it takes forever to reach orgasm or they don't reach it at all.

You'd that think when just about everyone who's tried nofap or reduced-fap reports nothing but positive results, people would more easily try it for themselves, but addiction forces one to be delusional.

I've always thought masturbation had no ill side effects. Also, after reading a book called, "Sperm Wars", male masturbation actually has a purpose in human reproduction. Not only is it natural among many mammals, it actually has quite a few positive effects.

Now, I 100% agree with having an actual addiction to porn. Like any addiction, therapy and treatment is always recommended.

Regular masturbation does not lead to lower testosterone. What the research actually shows is that testosterone levels spike after seven days with no ejaculation of any kind.

I stopped because I recognized that I wasn't finding everyday women attractive anymore because I was so used to seeing porn stars. I don't think its really bad on occasion, but I do think the internet has hurt men in that porn is so readily available now. It's on our laptops, phones, tablets, everywhere. When I was a kid and you saw porn it was because you found it in a dumpster or in your dad's closet. You used to have to work for it.

I think it's pretty widely accepted that too much porn will hurt your sex life. It can get your expectations too high and I believe watching too much can make you worse at sex because you become a passive participant. As for fapping lots of guys find it useful to switch hands, use toys, etc. Too much masturbation the same way will train your penis to enjoy that same way more than others and real sex can seem lackluster.

Porn and masturbation habits are definitely related to fetishes and kinks and possibly even orientation, but I seriously doubt that these things can be flat out dropped or completely reversed. If it's actually a fetish that's ingrained in your body then it's going to stay there. It's just a matter of how much attention you give it.
