The name of the chapter this excerpt is from is "You Just Ask Them? ", and unfortunately it has been cut from recent editions from the book as it is sexist. As others here pointed out, Feynman wasn't some natural alpha, in fact the chapter starts with him painted as a typical beta bucks. As many of us here can relate to, he was frustrated with his lack of results. A club employee who he gets to know well teaches him the ways of the red pill. As expected, Feynman is a quick learner and sees immediate results. Give it a read for a view of TRP from a Nobel prize winning physicist.

Yeah, Feynman comes up a couple of times a year. He's like an alpha god among nerds; highly intelligent, but learns to fight toughs and take home women from bars.

Highly recommend his books.

He learned this the hard way though, having tried the nice-guy approach and getting fleeced he was told by someone (can't remember who) to do the exact opposite and pay for absolutely nothing - then he started to get the results he wanted.

He still got married.

Feynman married his high school girlfriend and she died of tuberculosis in her 20s. A sad turn off events. He probably never stopped loving his first wife. Makes it a bit easier to take the pill when you're not able to put women on the pedestal.

Something to keep in mind though (from the final lines of the chapter, bold emphasis mine):

But no matter how effective the lesson was, I never really used it after that. I didn't enjoy doing it that way. But it was interesting to know that things worked much differently from how I was brought up.

In other words, Feynman was Blue Pill all the way, then had a Red mentor briefly show him what was up... Ever the scientist he tried out the new hypothesis, saw that it worked (and that his old model of reality was in fact inaccurate), and yet, at the end of the day, he admits: despite the fact that it (Red Pill tactics) WORKED, he just couldn't shake his lifelong Blue Pill indoctrination / brainwashing. Ultimately, he just "didn't enjoy doing it that way" (negging women down in order to get into their pants).

Updating the worldview: it's a bitch.
