I mentioned in a comment on an earlier thread that it is very likely he sent the memo with the intent of getting fired so he could get his voice heard and walk away filthy rich from suing Google. After all it's no surprise to anyone at this point that this stuff will get you fired.

I've been lurking TRP for some time now and I've seen much talk about the problems in society: don't get married, don't get falsely accused of rape, don't do anything at work, don't live in Kalifornia, Germany, Belgium etc. While there is nothing wrong with addressing problems, it should be matched with equal talk of solutions.

Heres why James Damore is smart: From reading his FB posts he obviously is sickened by the culture in the valley, as he mocks it satirically. Yet he is tied to the job as it is his source of income. What would any of us do? Probably quit our jobs like some pussy and search for employment elsewhere. Few would hear his voice on these problems, and he probably doesn't have many FB friends reading his posts on the matter. Instead he saw this problem as a huge opportunity. By getting himself fired he is getting the largest internet advertiser, Google, to advertise his memo and get paid handsomely for it. If he wins his lawsuit, which I think we all hope he does, he will have harpooned the largest whale in the valley. Google is one of the largest corporations that promotes leftist ideology, and what happens next could set precedent for the future as he is setting himself up as a classic David vs. Goliath. He turned a huge problem into an opportunity, and the idiot execs at Google predictably fell right in line with his plan.

What we should take away from this: There are many problems in our society that we are all too familiar with. I disagree with the idea that we should all never get married, refrain from procreation, and flee to conservative safe havens. That is just running away, and solves nothing. If we never get married and keep spinning plates for the rest of our lives certain social and economic opportunities will be denied to us and will make it difficult to gain power. If all of us stop having kids, the next generation will be entirely composed of beta males and leftists. If we all leave liberal areas the place we move to could be next. Be like James Damore, outsmart the system and turn these problems into opportunities instead of running away. Find a solution.
