When I walk through a door, whether I'm coming or going, I turn to look behind me to see if there is anyone within the courtesy zone. If there is, I will hold the door for that person. Sorry to all who are just a little outside the reach of the door which causes that awkward hurry step to get there so I'm not awkwardly holding the door for too long.

I've noticed though that most women don't do this. They walk in, pushing or pulling the door open just enough for them to enter or exit, and let it close behind them. There's no look back. They just walk through, completely oblivious to the fact that I also need to get through the door. I didn't notice this till recently, but now I notice it everywhere. All men do the look back and will do the little push to swing the door enough for you to grab it at it's open position. Most women, on the other hand, don't.

Just think about it. All the reasons and theories behind why. It's like you could sum it all up using this metaphor.
