I was all on her side, until I read that she has a kid with the deadbeat asshole, at age 22 (and judging by the fact she has been single for 4 years now, she probably had the kid at age 18, if not younger).

She sure did notice niceguy's master's degree, huh? Why else would she feel the need to mention it? She has subsonciously revealled her true motivations - a bailout. When confronted, she even asserts how she does not "deserve" poverty, as she was "tricked by an asshole" - what an absolute joke of an entitled human being, who cannot accept responsibility for their own decisions and actions.

If she didn't decide to have a kid with deadbeat asshole, at age 18, then this all would have been perfectly reversible.

Niceguy is supposedly intelligent and educated. I therefore assume he quickly saw through this wrong choice of lady and felt a certain level of anger and insult at her disingenuous attempts to use him. It's no surprise if he isn't giving her a second chance.

this is exactly what happened to me multiple times in high school. every single girl i asked out rejected me for some deadbeat who i would sometimes be friends with (stereotypical “nice guy” blah blah insert women justification here for why i am bad and don’t deserve women) who smokes, drinks, and does miserably in class. no hate to those guys or those girls (it’s just objective facts, they were fun to be around tho while it lasted) but now that i go to a top 5 school in the world for my major and will soon be earning 6 figures, i look forward to seeing what happens to them, do u guys think they will be humble enough to admit they made a mistake or will they continue onto 30 when they hit the wall too late?
