1) I have no idea what your relationship is to this girl you're writing about. Your GF/Wife? A friend? Someone you want to fuck?

2) You invited her, she accepted, then later rejected you because she had a better offer. You + the free concert tickets isn't a better offer for her than going to see U2 instead. Your Sexual Market Value is very low in her eyes. I hope you see that clearly.

3) You play a sport that women also play. Whatever.

4) You told this girl that her behavior towards you was fine, because you were going to just find someone else to go with. You didn't actually find someone else to go with, but you said you would. This is a major mistake. Act, don't talk.

Secondly: You have two tickets. She knows you have two tickets. You invite her. She says no. You go yourself and bring whoever the fuck you want. Tell her she has by X-days before your concert to tell you (that way you can arrange other people and not disrupt THEIR schedules.)

If she can't go to U2, and she doesn't want to go with you to yours, nothing here has changed... these are her decisions.

If you ALSO want to go see U2... then do that. By deciding not to do something because you think you might be entering her frame you have effectively entered her frame.

So go to one or both concerts... but make a fucking decision and fucking do it.

I see two problems:

1)Covert contract- you bought tickets and assumed that she would be your excited and willing date.

2)Failure to lead- You bough the tickets but evidently didn't follow up by leading and making the arrangements for all the logistics and then confirming she was on board with your plans.

You assumed. Never assume.

She can't find anyone to go to U2? Perfect. Here is your chance to pull her back into your frame. Sell your concert plans as fun and exciting- tell her you're going to do this and that and you really want to have her along to enjoy it with you. Make YOUR plans the fun and exciting ones.

You have been met with hostility in here for a reason that will hopefully become apparent as you learn more. However, in the spirit of this sub, which is to help our brothers, I offer you the following TRP advice:

U2 sucks. Don't go.
Either invite someone else (doesn't have to be female, just somebody that you genuinely want to share the concert with) to go to your concert or sell the ticket and go by yourself. Enjoy the concert, then move on and forget that this ever happened (keep reading, lifting, etc.). If you can't enjoy yourself at the concert under these circumstances and forget about her for the evening, then sell both tickets and don't go, but understand that it is your decision to do so, do not hold a covert grudge against her for bailing on you.
