I'd love to get some input on this. Me and wife had a discussion over email about whos turn it was to pick up kids from sport (email only for logistics) . I delayed answer a bit for other reasons and then wrote it was my turn, since I felt it was a while ago and I wanted some time with the kids. So I get an answer first saying like "good, nice, see you later, love you". But then another email saying like "You were lucky this time, I had just written a long angry email in capital letters about shared responsibility [etc etc]. Don't think you can get away with [etc etc]". Ending with some smileys and stuff. BUT still in a tone that makes me pissed, mostly because of the semi-aggressive threatening tone (meaning as I interpret something like "dont do like this in the future or I'll get angry") . I have the following options in mind, but would like to hear others as well of course:

  • No response at all (STFU)

  • Satirical response like "Cutest email ever, my wife is telling me what I shouldn't do" or something like that

  • Serious response like "Save that tone for your friends or whatever, but don't talk to me like that."

  • Something along the lines of "Send an angry email, send a 100, I'll make the decisions about picking up from whats best for the family"

Any thoughts or input on this?
