Cutting - need advice for cutting fat while lifting.

My plan is lift M,W,F in the morning. On T and H, flexibility, pull-ups, pushups, and interval running. Every day in the afternoon I'll do p90x or insanity max 30 or T 25. On top of trying to get in 180 Gm of protein and eating veggies. I'm getting tired by the end of the week, but I'm ok with that as long as I see results. Problem is, I'm not. Tire remains.

This is insane. Count calories. Lifting is good, all that other crap is not needed. It is much easier to simply not eat 300 calories than it is to exercise/cardio for 35 minutes.

Eat less calories. I personally do keto because it makes sure you keep your protein high and is relatively filling.

6 weeks = ~6 lbs lost + maybe another 4 of water weight if you're on keto... which is a decent amount... but you're not going to be shredded. You could probably pull off more, but I don't like to rush it.

Bad motivation (looking for external validation from your old college friends, possibly some of which females). Rely on discipline and go for long term benefits over BS like "being the hottest guy there" (what even for?), which furthermore is something you can't control. What if some professional happens to be invited?

Are you tracking macros on something like My Fitness Pal?

Apparently, Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym. Track your macros. Keep lifting and slowly reduce your total intake. If you stop making Personal Records, you may have cut the intake too much.

You aren't gonna cut that much in 6 weeks. Your problem isn't in your Routine or Diet. You said you lost about 40lbs right, now 180lbs? On a 5'7" frame @ that weight you were quite obese. Your body is still evolving and learning to live on what you've already restricted it to as far as calories go. Based on this restriction your body will most likely be in fat storage mode(depending on how long you've been doing it). Trying to stay in Ketosis is hard on the body, drink plenty of water(gallon a day).

It's twice as hard to lose the weight than it is to put on you will plateau. That being said, you've done well dropping the 40lbs. continue to do what you're doing. Don't do cardio before lifting, only after. Cardio in the evenings everyday, keep your HB above 160BPM. When I cut I do 30 minutes on a bike every other day switching off with running. I keep my HR @ 160 with bursts up to 190 on the bike(too hard to measure while running).

Keep your carbs below 50g per day, match your weight in grams of protein per day, halve your weight in grams of fat per day(coconut or oight olive oil). Mix your shakes with water instead of milk(natural sugars in milk will take you out of Ketosis), use whey protein in the morning and casein protein before bed. If any of your carbs comes from a starch use brown wild rice, Quinoa, etc(slow digesting carbs) but @ 50g a day restriction a 1/4 cup of uncooked rice equals 36g of carbs, you'd have trouble not breaking your plan.

I don´t know your backround, but this is overtraining. Why the hell you are doing pushups and pullups on your recovery days? And P90x and interval running too?

And people recommend keto and less than 50g carbs to him?

Stick to your SL, do maybe light cardio on offdays twice a week and eat at least 2000 kcal. 180g proein, 90g fat and rest carbs.

Part of this is how your body stores your fat. Mine stores my fat on my lower back/sides first, then stomach, then legs/arms/face, then huge stomach.

Keep in mind that around 7 lbs of fat is 1 GALLON of fat volume. Simply put, get rid of enough fat to make up the volume you want to lose.

You're 6 weeks out though, it's going to be rough to lose more than 10 lbs in that time. I have a rough time losing more than 1 lb/week.

The first thing you need to do is to set some realistic, measurable goals. Don't just say "I want to get shredded in 6 weeks." What's shredded for you? Lost 5 pounds? 10 pounds? 20? Is that 5/10/20 realistic based on your current routine/diet habits? Based on your current diet/routine, what are you losing per week?

Two best things you can do for serious cutting is to up the hard cardio, and take a look at your diet. I'm betting that the latter is where you need serious work. How many calories are you taking in? Are you keeping under your calorie limit but still eating shitty fast food and drinking cokes?

Start your morning off daily with a 30 minute run. You want to lose some weight, do some cardio daily, and combine it with your lifting. Getting that run in before you start taking in calories could have a great impact. May also want to consider intermittent fasting (IF) since your goals are wanting to do a lot in a relatively short span of time.

EDIT: Based on your timeframe, make some adjustments to that workout schedule. Flexibility is great, but being able to be the only guy able to do the splits may not help you reach your weight loss goals.

Install myfitnesspal or a similar app in your phone and track every single thing you put in your mouth. This is key. Program the calorie budget for high activity level and two pounds lost a week. Eat a ton of protein within those calories and less than 50g carbs per day like others have suggested. Lots of water, no soda, and minimal or no booze.

This is keto / low carb and it works like a charm when you stick to it. You actually have more energy once you get used to it, surprisingly. You will drop 12+ pounds and if you keep a high workout routine and lifting, you WILL notice a difference in six weeks.

Count your calories. At 5'7 180 pounds and exercising 5 times a week, your maintenance calories are at 2450. You need to have a deficit of 7000 calories a week to lose 2 pounds a week. That means you need to eat (and that includes your drinks) max 1450 calories per day. In 6 weeks you will lose another 12 pounds.

Having said that, unless you are naturally really gifted and have some serious muscle I doubt that at that height and weight you are at 20% body fat. My guess is you are closer to 25% than you are to 20% and in 6 week time frame you are not getting shredded.

Also guys usually start to put on fat at stomach first. That means that is the last fat to go as well. When I was at 14% body fat I still had plenty of stomach fat left. So don't lose hope. You already lost 40, count your calories and eventually you will be shredded, it just won't happen in 6 weeks.

Weigh your food or count calories. You need a small cheat meal on Friday evenings. Cut ALL SUGAR, make sure @ least a chicken breast 1 to 1/2 hour before bed. You are going to have to kick in the reserve burning.

You might even want to kill the milk for a week and see if it helps
