You can't control her behavior or her emotions, but you can control how you react to them. Right now you're choosing to be annoyed by her, you're choosing to argue back, you're choosing to just agree with her to placate her. Choose something else.

Your first conscious choice should be to not argue. What good does that do? None. Women argue. It makes things worse.

Your second conscious choice should be stop giving your wife's behaviors or emotions any weight. They're like a fart in the wind. It stinks for a moment but it'll be gone soon enough. You don't go chasing after that fart, running around sniffing until you find it again, do you? You sniff and marvel at it's distinctive odor before bidding it farewell. Until next time, old fart!

Your third conscious choice should be to pick up a goddamn book and read it. I recommend Way of the Superior Man. This will give you a new perspective and help you better understand your wife's emotions and behaviors not as something to fear or get angry about, but as a sign that she is a woman and that is how women communicate: with their emotions. It will give you tools to better separate yourself from those emotions. Not in a distancing-yourself way but in a hey-that's-interesting way. You may find it difficult to read, but that's why you're going to read it twice, cover to cover, to really let it sink in.

Or you could just keep doing the same old shit that you know doesn't work.

Once you get to that level of frame control, your life will be better because your mood is not tied to hers, and your sense of worth is not tied to your ability to control her.
