I’ve been super beta this entire relationship because that’s how I thought men should be: happy wife, happy life. —-

Run into this issue and don’t know how to deal with it: every time we leave for anywhere with the kids, my wife’s (SAHM) anxiety goes through the roof. She’s trying to get everything ready for the girls while managing changing/shoes/getting in the car. What ends up happening is I get everyone ready, sans packing snacks, and we end up in the car waiting for wife for 5-10 min.

Sitting in a car, not going anywhere, with three little ones leads to chaos. Tears, yelling, etc. Not a good outcome, but it’s over 90% likely.

I can manage this situation better than wife, but wife insists upon mgmt despit her admission she can’t delegate under stress.

Today I suggested getting the bags ready before we put shoes on so nobody is waiting. Wife immediately interrupted me with snappy tone, replying with her “reasoning.”

I don’t know how to deal with this. I am failing with my reactions. We get into an argument and somehow it ends up about my reaction to her rudeness not being polite enough.

I want her interrupting to stop and I want to run the show and delegate the leaving system but she doesn’t trust me with it — she thinks she is the only one capable of putting snacks on a plastic bag.
