So over Christmas I didn't go to the gym. Prior to that I've been hitting the gym 6 days a week for over a year. Top 1% in terms of body. I go to the gym with one of my best friends who is an amateur bodybuilder too. He was talking about how he hurt his shoulder when doing shoulder press. Listening in, my SO asks me "Did you go to the gym yesterday". I did and she knows I did so I just ignored her and continue chatting to my friend. Then she hits out with some major disrespect.

"I don't think he (talking about me) does enough at the gym"

She is clearly trying to bring me down in my eyes. My friend (pretty rp) says nothing just looks at her confused like 'wtf are you saying woman" , another 'friend' (not really he's a douche/always looking for validation) starts laughing at the comment. Me and my friend continue talking for a minute then I pulled her aside and said to her "I'm not causing a scene but that was really disrespectful and inappropriate. I don't want you speaking to me that way."

She doesn't apologise just hamsters it as a joke. The comment didn't bother me as much as her being disrespectful to me bothers me. I'm cold to her but not moody/bitch.

She keeps on trying to initiate with me by text. "Why are you in a mood" "I'm not" "It was just a joke, I'm sorry I didn't know you were so sensitive" "K" "Can you talk to me" "I am"..

She kept this up for the best part of an hour, making it out as if I am treating her badly because I'm not showering her with attention after being disrespectful. I know I didn't handle this perfectly, it was a very irritating situation. Advice of handling differently?
