Hello MRPers,

To put it shortly, me and the Mrs. are in a stalemate at this moment about something I feel is dumb to fight over. It feels somewhat childish ignoring her over it and I was wondering if anyone here had some sage advice.

Some background context: Been together 10 years, married 7, 2 kids under 2. Been a drunken captain almost entirely the whole time, not owing my shit at all. I am working on it now, but it may be too late for salvaging the marriage. We'll see how it goes. I have been reinserting myself into RP concepts and practices for about a month. I really need more time, reading, and application. I previously read and practiced RP for about 3 months a couple of years ago but backed off because I wasn't understanding how to actually behave. So here we are.

The only reason I'm asking about this is because I feel like it's a shit test, have read up on them, and am not understanding application. Straight up, she made mashed potatoes which I didn't like. I made a face of disgust and she got ticked. Stated "I was extremely rude". Then threw a fit of silence and didn't talk to me. Went to the room AFTER cleaning the dishes silently enraged.

My reaction was somewhat of amusement because honestly she lost it so quickly, I really wasn't sure how to react. Some part of me thinks this falls in the way of A&A, just wasn't sure how to actually address it. So I ignored, moved on, and got the kids ready for bed as usual. After putting them down, did some clean up, and read for a little while before heading to bed. Before I went to the bedroom, she stopped me with a "really?" as we haven't talked much at all since this occurred. I slipped up here, didn't apologize but kind of "yeah, okay, whatever-ed" it and went to bed.

Is this not a big deal? I mean I feel like I was wrong for possibly being rude but would have had no problem just saying I don't like the food. I would possibly apologize but not after her being a psycho baby. Everyone's thoughts?
