My LTR of 2 years talks about marriage semi- regularly. I'm 26 and she's 25.

She is good and respectful 80% of the time. I've told her something may happen in the next year. When we first got together I was Alpha all the time but I've eased up and it has stabilised things a bit emotionally for her.

Like I said, she is good most the time with the odd cry about something I do or didn't do. We take turns paying for things and have since the beginning. I told her that she should seriously research housing and rent costs to get an idea of what we'll be in for. She seems to get more easily disheartened about things these days and the honeymoon period is definitely over. She never refuses sex though.

So I'm basically at the crossroads. Here's a decent chick who's been good to me and I can manage most the time. I'm leaning towards marriage within a year because it feels right with her.

Her actions line up with her words most the time. When she met me I had nothing but have made big strides in every area over the past two years. Still, I told her it will be best to save our money in some shit apartment and have nicer things later on. I also told her if she wants a guy with a lot of money, she should look elsewhere. Her response is always the same to these comments, sighing and telling me she doesn't care about that stuff.

The next 3 years will be the hardest but I know I'll be set after they are over. She says she wants to build with me from the bottom and that's what we've been doing. Anyway I'm just looking for feedback and insight that I may be missing.

I also regurlaly get attention from other women and she has told me numerous times she feels insecure in the relationship. I don't know what more I can do though without becoming a complete beta. I have tried comforting but it's never enough.
