MRP opinion on birth control?

Married, two kids, vasectomy. A vasectomy is easier and less invasive for men than other surgical procedures for a woman and this way I know that I cannot Father' any other children without considerable thought and cost. It was my way to guarantee 100% control of conception. No worries about her forgetting a pill, iud shifting, remembering to get a deprovera (spelling?) shot quarterly, etc. If she gets pregnant now, I get a divorce.

Also, "never stick your dick in crazy" is the Golden Rule.

A single man should always wear condoms due to STDs and not letting a woman be responsible for preventing him from having a kid with her.

I just read this so I'm going to copy it instead of phrasing it myself regarding men in relationships:

If I "love" my wife, my desired outcome is also aligned with her best interests.

It is usually in my partner's best interest to NOT be on hormonal birth control. (Barring medical reasons that would make it in her best interest.)

IUDs are the best female option in my opinion, and the doctors in my family recommend them to everyone as the front-line, keeping in mind some women have difficulties with them and need to use another option. They are also good for you, because she isn't forgetting to take a pill, it is in there and isn't coming out until she goes to the doctor.

That said, I have always worn condoms so my partners did not have to use birth control. Though in my marriage and with my current gf I only use(d) a condom around ovulation time.

We started out with nonhormonal IUD (worked great btw). Then when we decided to have kids, I shit you not she was knocked up on the first attempt based on the Dr's conception estimates. After kid 1, we just went with tracking her schedule and refraining as we both were ok if we had another kid but weren't actively pursuing it. After kid 2 showed up, I got snipped. Best decision of my sex life so far, truthfully.

We decided on the "pull and pray" method because my wife was bonkers on hormonal birth control. It has worked for us...so far...but I would not recommend it to anyone unless they would be alright if the wife got pregnant again.

YMMV on different methods The most important thing to remember is the sidebar reading and doctrine is to "lead her" to the doctor for changes not normal to your experience with her.

By the way, if you are on TRT that pretty much drops your sperm counts to 0. So there's that.

Pull out for me... IMO it can be very effective if you have good control, and use a condom when she is most fertile. The vagina is actually fairly inhospitable, it takes more than a little bit of leaked semen to get the job done. Evidenced by couples who try for months before getting pregnant.

One day I'll get a vasectomy...

vasectomy. put me in control of the contraception. I don't have to worry about fathering children. Was painful, but recovery time was very fast. Also like stonewall said, she gets pregnant, I get a divorce.

I just want to add my two cents that my love life was fucking dead when my wife went on birth control (right before we got married). She is so hormonal sensitive to it that it killed all desire and she would even experience pain. She also gained a tonne of weight on it. We made the decision for her to come off of it and switch to condoms and pulling out for completely different reasons, but that was when we really realised the effects. She lost 30 pounds and regained a normal sexual appetite ( desiring several times a week ). This was years before I discovered MRP.

I don't think people take this into consideration enough, but it should have been a tell tale sign when my wife only got horny during the sugar pill week.

This is easy.

Owning your shit here is to only have sex with a woman that you would want to raise a child with. Even if she is on the pill there will be days she forgets, the condom can break, and so on.

Catholic here, we don't use any birth control. We use "Natural Family Planning" and abstain for half of the month. On the plus side, I get to have an awesome lovefest for the last 8-9 days of the month. The "why" is a long answer involving Catholic understanding of the human person, but TLDR is that I don't want to turn my wife into an object of use.

Wife had tubal ligation with cauterized tubes at the same time as Caesarian section of last kid (of ours at least). I saw the knots, saw and smelled the cautery. About as sure as one can be that the baby factory is closed.

I was considering a vasectomy but hesitate because I don't want my junk messed with, but the wife claims oral contraceptives decrease her libido. I think its her hamster at work but who knows. She's been on them over 15 years, it can't be healthy. I will say that her boobs get bigger towards the end of her cycle, not sure if it is the pills or just how the woman cycle works.
