Honestly, I can't tell if you are trolling or not. Being straight with you, this is 50/50 likely to be a troll post.

Set aside the glaring and painfully obvious problem that women usually often go far longer than men happily without sex -- ie you are getting into a dehydration contest with a camel.

The more egregious problem with this is that it is passive aggressive and manipulative. Be above board, straight forward, and direct about what you want and expect. Be willing to take her input and consider it but ON YOUR TERMS. Watch her actions more than you listen to her words.

So /u/MrPerfidy here's the simple answer, as well as the fundamental thing (but by no means the only thing) wrong with your question.

You cannot negotiate desire.

You either want to fuck your wife, or you don't.

Your wife either wants to fuck you, or she doesn't.

If you think witholding sex is a rational response to her not understanding, listening, or supporting you in other ways outside the bedroom, it means you have a fucked up worldview and a fucked up understanding of what a healthy, fully actualized sex life is supposed to be.

I also suspect that your witholding is a response to the wife's own sexual behavior being starfish / duty sex (by which she clearly measures her own self-worth), and which is of course also negotiated desire.

This is likely why you want to punish her in this way. Damn, that's pretty fucked up right there, isn't it?

I suspect you're not either from, or in, the Western Hemisphere, and this is maybe how things in the bedroom work (or don't, really) in your culture. Perhaps this is even an arranged marriage.

TLDR your post is the outgrowth of a tumorous mass of codependency, covert contracts, and a lot of other righteously fucked up stuff.

This is why you're getting so much shade thrown at you. Your response is so emotionally crippled in so many ways it's hard not to just dismiss it as a troll. I made the same mistake initially.

Is it really offensive and weird to suggest that men can decide not to have sex, because of all of the things in which it entangles him? I thought you were generally traditionalists and shit here- you are not cool with like, any celibate orders of men doing man things?
