My father was very RP and "Alpha."

But he definitely had some personality disorders. I always felt that my mom was tip-toeing around him and terrified of what he might do to her at any moment. Everything I did in my childhood raised the question, what will Dad think? What will Dad do when he finds out? Simple shit like wanting to play tennis instead of football, and my Mom would guilt me into not making my own decisions in life. "Your Dad might get mad... just do what he wants." Of course, I was also terrified of his trigger-happy violent temper, so I complied.

My dad and grandfather and most uncles were very alpha, but alcoholics. Alpha, like sleeping with heaps of women, great fighters (some street/bar fighters, others amateur boxers) natural leaders, fearless (like, my dad and uncles were tortured, continued protesting and sabotaging the dictatorship shit). Their alcoholism broke lots of families though.

My previous betaness was a failed way of being as different to them as possible. I fucking despise addicts. I made a bunch of failed assumptions about what addicts did, how they treated women, etc. I was partially wrong, and that took years of my life in failed attempts of attracting and keeping women.

I think it's wider than having beta dads. I guess is having bad examples of manhood and relationships, and a society that preases wrong virtues in men. You need a well balanced dad, and a way of knowing what part of the zeitgeist is shit.

I don't know my dad was a mixed bag.

He owned a very successful business in a male dominated industry. He had a lot of social worth.

Charming, good looking, but probably narcissistic or BPD. Ironically, I realized a while back that I ended up with a BPD wife because I was trying to sort out my stuff with my dad, not my mom.

But he had a really bad temper, and tended to make stupid, emotional, very rash decisions.

He also suffered from a lack of self-confidence even though he was accomplished and highly intelligent-- super domineering, alpha father himself. So even though he had a lot of social value, he would put on airs and it came off cringey as hell.

So yeah he was a mixed bag of alpha and beta, But at the end of the day just kind of a fucked up guy.

If you want to know who he is go see the Shia LaBeouf movie Honey Boy. It was so much like my dad. My dad was more competent than that guy, but that's basically the gist of his personality.

I remember when I was like 3-4 I had this girl I was friends with and he used to give me this just wildly inappropriate for the age range advice(like my toddler ass even knew it was weird for that age) that was kind of red pilly stuff. Then I think my mom ground him down over the next couple decades or something.

Yeah my dad is bp as fuck. Incredibly smart and works harder than anyone though. My mom is the “man” of the house and uses my dad’s money for various vacations. Right now she quit her job and they moved to England so she could take daytrips to Spain, paris, etc. I’m positive that if he didn’t have the money they wouldn’t have even started dating.

I can't understand how my father tolerated so much abuse from my mother. He should had been the one who should had divorced.

They still stay married, and that's beyond my understanding. I don't think there is any love left even after I was a toddler.

So, I can attest, that even if divorce never happens, the blue pill turns relationship, and family life, into hell.

So many blue pill dudes, even after the RP, hope to find a "good woman" that will not divorce (or cheat?). They don't get how much of a pain is that situation. Living every day with a disappointed, angry and resented woman is much worse than divorce.

They watched their dads fight and die in a World War. My dad's father was in Pearl Harbour. Then they grew up in a world where feminism was shoved down their throats and went along with it because they loved their women and had no idea it was an attack on the family. These are good men who were left hung out to dry by a system of corrupt bankers who couldn't wait to fill their pockets.

This is a dark reality, but anyone's parents are just two idiots that fucked and then gave a half-assed attempt to integrate their child into the word in ways that often aren't in the child's interest.

Yes, your parents fed you and (hopefully) showed you love, but in the grand scheme of things we are painfully on our own when it comes to navigating this harsh world where everyone is only looking to benefit themselves.

One of the worst things my mother did to me as a child was always stress about being "nice and respectful" to people. It's not bad advice per se, but if it's overdone it turns you into a beta simp. And programming from childhood is often extremely difficult to overwrite in later life.

Yes my father was. Dude married so many times. I've called him out on his shit so many times though I feel bad for being disrespectful...it is because I love him and cant stand to see this. I even said to him if you're lonely, I can gladly call a couple girls for you.

Asian culture is very blue pilled to begin with smh. Except my grandpa (mom's father) and his son (uncle who taught me many things). They had the lion's share of women, my grandpa lived alone in Hawaii and Hong Kong.

I look back at the damage done by mine and somehow repress the urge to vomit. Mine left me with no foundation once i discovered that everything i thought i knew was a lie.

The fact that mine grew up fatherless, raised and and dominated by two religious women isn’t enough to excuse the degree to which he was a shit parent.

His cuckery included:

Living off his mother for most of his adult life, refusing to get/ keep a job, pursue diploma due to being a SAHD, well past the time I could have been in latchkey. Also setting me up to be an object of ridicule for having a loser father. Allowed his domineering mother/ grandmother to talk him into not moving to California for a good job due to religious reasons. Requiring his mom and grandma to clean up his messes.

Serious adherence/lip service to Christianity.

Neglecting and abusing his son and focusing on hobbies. Using tv and video games as a babysitter and excuse to not parent. Failure to teach self defense, car repair, how not to be bullied, how to handle women, how to dress well (anything a man needs to know).

Eventually Abandoning all his children, leaving them with nothing. Complete mismanagement of family funds resulting in loss of ancestral home and earmarked college fund and car. Marrying and fathering a child with a mentally ill/deficient woman 10 years his senior, and of a different faith. Same woman had domineering in-laws who swore to make him a footstool from day one.

Allowing said inlaws to bully him for 16 years until they were able to wrest custody of his son away by proving him an unfit parent who left to avoid child support. Allowing his in-laws and everyone else to make a mockery of him and dictate terms.

Remaining in a relationship with a single mother who slept with three other men in his house, stole from him and abused his kid and refused to parent her own son who was often in trouble at school and would attack, molest people and break things on a regularly basis. Fathered a child with said woman and abandoned woman and child, after woman drained the family finances dry (through him.)

Allowed a neighbor woman to extract significant unpaid loans/ assistance in exchange for unfulfilled vague promises of possible sex/leaving her husband.

No. My dad is pretty alpha, sometimes a little too alpha for his own good. The whole beta bashing thing is stupid because you are supposed to, especially as business owner, show some kindness every now and then. But as someone who grew up in the countryside of Europe, he never outgrew his primal instincts (he never beat us but his explosive personality is always there), therefore I, my sister and all his employees resent him and quite recently I have made it clear that he is garbage and I never looked up to him as a father figure but as a shit who was unable to be there for his children. My mother, on the other hand, while she always complains about him, her pupils turn to hearts whenever he makes a nice gesture for her. I've never seen a woman so enslaved by a man as my mom is by my dad. Even now when I sometimes talk to my mom, she will go into a fit of complete worship and admiration for my dad.

So, yeah, conclusion is that you should probably be alpha with your women but you should never neglect the kindness aspect when dealing with people you're not trying to fuck or else they'll grow to resent you.

The older I get (32) the more I realize that my father was more of a badass but with some blue pill tendencies. Because we all do.

What went wrong was when the family purchased our first computer and creates rts game ever... command and conquer. This shit shut me in and made me a fatass.

In 8th grade my father pulled me aside and it was mandatory that I had to lift before. He kept on drilling me about windows of opportunities when it comes to lifting now so it prepares you for life.

I also grew up with two older sisters... middle one 10 years apart from me. They indoctrinated me with shit tests that I failed constantly; I didn’t have the social skills. My father told me to get pissed off and take it out in the gym. At one point he stepped in when my sisters and mother were going after me accusing females of being vicious especially in groups. He compared them to female lions that gang up.

My biggest mistake was having more of a bond with my mother and listening to her more; which pissed my father off

His greatest advice, which I didn’t listen to, was how girls have a tendency to use boys and that it was wise to counter their requests. “Girl wants to look at your homework? Okay, have her meet you at the pizza joint alone”

My dad died over 20 years ago; I was 19.

Red Pill wasn't a thing then, of course. Shame, really, because in retrospect I now recognise how much he epitomised the beta stereotype - possibly more than most on here could ever imagine.

He was the baby of the family; when he was growing up, his dad (my grandfather) spent a lot of time away from the family home and my own dad was therefore mostly brought up by his mum. I don't think he had a strong male role model.

My dad would have been around 17-18 when his father retired - and my dad promptly joined the Navy. I've got a complete copy of his naval records (if nothing else, the military is damn good at keeping records).

I'm absolutely convinced that his own father retired, was suddenly spending much more time with his youngest son and - in complete disgust, realising that his son barely qualified as a man, and then only for biological reasons - encouraged him to join the navy in the hope it'd make a man out of him. My dad's commanding officer was writing back to my grandfather on a regular basis with updates of my dad's progress; one of those letters explicitly said "as requested, I'm writing to you with a progress report". This continued until my dad reached 21, which was the age of majority at the time. His naval record was - frankly - pretty poor. Reading between the lines, the Navy was quite prepared to mould a man into a commanding officer, but they expected there to be something to mould to begin with. And as far as dad was concerned, they weren't convinced there was. I don't think dad had the self-awareness to recognise this.

My mum was - still is - a very strong-willed woman. She married a weak man obviously figuring she could push around, only to discover you don't get much support from marrying that sort of a man, and it's damn difficult to bring up kids without support. Hence they divorced when I was around 11. She's basically admitted to me that she'd have been much better off with a stronger man.

So.... I'm second generation BP. And were it not for the fact I've inherited a certain strong-willed streak from my mum, I wouldn't have discovered RP at all. Just as bloody well I did, however, because my dad's BP personality was ultimately what killed him - he didn't recognise the beta shit goblin for what it was, so when it said "have another drink", he was happy to oblige.
