So just a little bit about myself. I'm not even really here to become some kind of God-like pick up artist. I just come here every now and then to enjoy the environment and to learn a few things here and there.

I think of myself as a caring and empathetic (I'll try to stay humble). At lunch awhile back, I was sitting down with my friends (I'm a senior in high school). I noticed a guy sitting alone at lunch. I'm going to assume that he is a freshman because I've never seen him before in my life.

I already kind of think of myself as kind of an introvert, and I was sitting with people that I didn't know too well. I was going to invite him over to my table but I told my friends "If I invite him over don't make it awkward okay?" I keep asking if I should invite him or not.

Everyone just kind of ignored me, I asked one of my closer friends and asked him if I should.

His reply was this : "Why shouldn't you?"

I don't know why but when he said that, his words just hit me really hard. It applies to many things in life now that I think about it. I went up to him and asked if he wanted to sit with us, but he politely declined. A couple months have passed and now I believe that he has made some friends, so it's all good. But that's besides the point.

So next time you see a girl you think is cute, don't ask if you SHOULD talk to her. Ask yourself why you SHOULDN'T.
