The spark is an emotion that she feels when you have actually managed to stir her emotions and managed to get under her skin.. As in managing to have an influnece on her emotional state, on whether you can get her to feel mystery, sexual tension, anticipation, adrenaline, sadness, joy, anxiety, relief, thrill, suspense, shyness, or even make her feel pissed off, a little bit upset, sad, angry,...

The opposite of feeling the spark is feeling absolutely nothing at all, just pure indifferene as in "meh", she is not angry, she is not happy, she is not drawn to you, she is not repulsed by you,... Instead you simply have no effect at all in her emotions, it's like watching paint dry on a wall, it's not stimulating, it's not exciting, it's not thrilling because it's just a wall.

So when a woman tells you that she feels no spark, that's what she is saying... That spending with you pretty much felt exactly the same way as watching paint dry on a wall as in "i felt absolutely nothing", "this date with you was forgettable"... As in the date was not even bad enough to be genuinely angry about it, instead the date wiht you was just "mid".

And this usually happens because guys play it too safe, too polite, too nice, too predictable, too correct, because they don't wanna mess things up and have the fitler on. Removing the filter implies risk that she might get upset but ironically that's a risk you need to be willing to take if you want her to feel anything at all.

Because the worst thing is not that she gets upset with you, the worst thing is when you were forgettable and did not even manage to make her feel a bad emotion when the bar for that was so low.

That just means they haven't been turned on enough by you.

Its just that, that feeling of being turned on is still in the early stages so it's not that intense yet and it doesn't immediately occur to them that what they're feeling is arousal, that's why they look for a label for that feeling and it usually ends up being, "Spark" or "Romantic connection."

And its not about a lack of attraction. If they show up to a date and are actively engaged with you at the date then attraction is there.

Its about how you stimulated her emotions and escalated during the date.

If that's confusing to you, that's because most people here have the wrong idea of escalating.

When guys here think "escalate" they take that to mean going for a kiss.

That's not escalation, that's jumping from the first floor to the second floor.

Escalation is when you're walking up each step towards the second floor.

Its the little touches as you're expressing yourself, messing with her, and as your interest in each other is growing.

Its when you get close and make her question whether you're doing that just to express what you're saying better or because the temptation to have your way with her is getting stronger.

Its also the perfectly timed flirty remarks you say that make her clench up deliciously.

That's the part that makes her feel like there's a spark.

But of course, if you two had sex on that date, she's also likely to think there's a spark, as long as it feels "organic", like your interaction just slid you two in that direction, and not something like her just needing a fuck because she was stressed, ovulating, mad at a parent, etc.

So ultimately if you want to get this response less often, work on your ability to turn women on especially in the early stages.

The later stages that come after a kiss are easier because you already have access to her erogenous zones.

Its the light touches, provocative looks, the moments when you get a little too close, the flirty remarks, and more coy and playful stuff that's tricky for most guys. And its missing those things that usually makes dates feel more clunky. And clunky dates translate to a woman's mind as, "No Spark."

It sounds like she just didn’t see you in that way (romantic way). Things for her just didn’t click and that’s ok. Not every woman will.

How do your dates go? What are they like? What do you talk about? Don’t think logically when you answer this, think emotionally.

You're not teasing and flirting and being playful enough.

Why would you act disinterested on a date?

Smile.

Stop trying to act tough, or nonchalant - you're not in middle school.

Be more vulnerable and up front with how you feel about her (just as long as you put her comfort first before yours).

If you like her, tell her you like her. Don't try to pretend like you don't.

Also, I'm assuming you're labelling it a date, so if you're not -> get comfortable doing so.

Here's what I think is going on. You said you're not a very expressive person. If you're not expressive, that means you're likely suppressing your emotions. If you're suppressing your emotions, that means you're going to have a lot of buried emotions inside that bubble to the surface in the form of negative thoughts. That's where your thoughts about being unattractive and repulsive come from. When the date doesn't go well, it triggers some buried emotion inside of you, and the emotion leaks out in the form of negative thoughts. The harder you try to keep the emotion buried, the worse the thoughts get.

No matter how hard you try to bury an emotion, that doesn't make it go away, it still physically lives inside you, and leaks out in other ways. The only solution is to not resist your emotions, but instead allow yourself to feel them, let them happen fully to their natural completion. They will complete and go away on their own naturally if you let them. If you practice this, over time you will have fewer negative thoughts, less anxiety, and you will find it easier to be expressive and create genuine emotional connections.

It's pretty clear a lot of your self worth is derived from people's opinion of you rather than your own opinion of yourself. While you rectify this, on dates you need to spike her emotions. Don't let the date be an interview, talk about both your and her interests and don't be afraid to disagree with her. And then you need to mix in both verbal and physical intent, aka flirting

It means she didnt get the feelings of attraction towards you. It doesnt mean you are unattractive, it means the interaction didnt make her want to fuk you. You gotta get them emotional + get them to validate themselves to you and seek your approval + build tension and anticipation
