At a glance, this may sound like a good idea. However, why not just downvote accordingly? There really isn't a lot of content in this sub as is. Raising the barrier to participate will likely have unintended consequences, such as new people wanting advice but not enough karma.

I remember first starting reddit and trying to post or comment and didn't have enough karma to do so. I found another place to post and never went back to that sub. Don't be that sub.

argument for the other side: I dont post much but what if I have a question relating to this? Or anyone for that matter reddit is one of the conversational hotpots anyone can input, limiting who can lead the conversation I feel is a detriment to the purpose of this sub

I think the only dangerous thing for this is that it could turn away plenty of guys who want to learn for the first time. Many people involved in this scene use throwaway accounts so that they’re comfortable sharing their insecurities and personal lives. I think there should be a way to keep this open vibe for the sub while still filtering spam.

The problem as I see it is a lot of people make throw aways for this sub. This account i'm posting on now is a throw away, not my main.

So by making them get karma or wait a month, you're kind of limiting the advice they can get. If that is worth the trade off to stop the spammers i'm not sure.

Yes I'm pretty new here but I actually love this sub because its a good balance of knowing how to maturely and confidently carry yourself and talk to women and play the game. But at the same time, we aren't red pillers or Incels. I don't like the sudden influx of some incel material.
