It’s all about emotions… girls love the Chase.

I was looking back at my old texts and I’m shock, I was so toxic… extremely belittling, but the girls loved it. They were offering to pay for my tickets to see them again, begging for my time.

It’s funny cos back then I wasn’t self aware, and when I developed self awareness I stopped that behaviour due to guilt. But the fantastic results also stopped.

I’m a guy, the same thing has happened to me many times. Girl leaves or starts to distance herself, I take it as a blow to my ego, in turn I start over valuing her, try to fix things, get hooked on the idea of her, stuck “forever” until I learn better. Process repeats a few times with different women over the years. I see the pattern. Eventually lean to take losses more efficiently.. problem solved without becoming avoidant

Many of these toxic guys are very charming and attractive. Also some of these darker traits are beneficial for survival and women evolved to prefer them sometimes. Some had parents like this and subconsciously think this is what a partner is and what they deserve. Additionally not all women are like this, especially as they mature.

Hey, 20F here, I know that most of us women don’t go into a relationship deliberately looking for toxicity. From my experience, when I start dating a guy who seems and acts perfect, with time he starts showing his true colors I guess. If a guys attractive AND seemly amazing, of course we want to date them. When the relationship comes to it’s breaking point, of course we’re pissed that we were manipulated. It just hard to know a guys real intentions.
